Job Purpose-Arabic Candidate

The School Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff within the school environment. The role includes providing first aid, managing medical records, supporting health education, and ensuring compliance with the health regulations of the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities1. Student Health Care

  • Provide first aid and basic medical care to students and staff as required.
  • Assess illnesses and injuries and determine appropriate action.
  • Monitor students with chronic medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, allergies, or epilepsy.
  • Administer medications only with proper authorization and documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all medical information.

2. Medical Records & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and updated medical records for students and staff.
  • Ensure vaccination and immunization records are up to date according to Qatar health regulations.
  • Prepare medical reports and maintain daily clinic logs.
  • Record accidents, incidents, and treatments provided within the school clinic.

3. Health & Safety

  • Ensure the school clinic is properly equipped and maintained at all times.
  • Monitor hygiene, sanitation, and infection control practices within the school.
  • Support implementation of school health and safety policies.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures.
  • Ensure availability and maintenance of first aid kits across the school premises.

4. Communication & Parent Coordination

  • Inform parents/guardians regarding student illnesses, injuries, or medical concerns when necessary.
  • Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, and emergency services if required.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and school administration regarding student health concerns.

5. Health Education & Awareness

  • Promote healthy lifestyle habits among students and staff.
  • Conduct health awareness sessions related to hygiene, nutrition, mental health, and disease prevention.
  • Support health campaigns and wellness initiatives organized by the school.

6. Compliance & Regulations

  • Ensure compliance with Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) regulations and school policies.
  • Maintain valid nursing license and certifications required in Qatar.
  • Assist during school inspections and audits related to health and safety.

7. Administrative Responsibilities

  • Prepare inventory reports for medical supplies and request replenishment when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical room.
  • Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs.

Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
