Arab Unity School (AUS) is one of Dubai’s oldest and most respected schools, serving 3,800 boys and girls aged 4-18 since 1975. Teaching the UK National Curriculum through from FS2/Reception to IGCSE, A Level and Level 3 BTEC Diploma, our students take a strong set of moral and community values with them as they move into Higher Education Institutions and careers across the world.

With the current Principal retiring this Academic Year, we now seek to appoint an experienced successor who understands the opportunities and demands of working within Dubai’s rich educational landscape of positive ambition and optimism.

Ideally, our next Principal will join in January 2026, working alongside the current Principal for a suitable time in order to ensure a smooth and full transition during the early part of Spring Term.

Arab Unity School (AUS) is a private school, established in 1975 by Mrs. Zainab A Taher, a qualified and veteran educationalist, active in the field of education since 1963. The school that began with fifteen students in a small apartment, when Dubai was a fraction of the size it is today, has grown to be one of the most prestigious schools in the Emirate.

The school follows Early Years Foundation Stage, the National Curriculum of England for Years 1-9 in preparation for IGCSE Cambridge International Examinations and both A Levels and BTEC Diplomas across Key Stages 4 and 5.

Arab Unity is one of Dubai oldest schools, reaching its 50th Birthday in 2025 and its alumni have achieved success within Dubai and farther afield. As an ‘affordable school’, we offer what is arguably the best-value UK education in the Emirate, with fees kept deliberately within the range of those families of modest financial means. This vision, originating within Mrs Taher and now continued proudly on by the Founder’s daughter, engenders a deep loyalty and sense of service amongst our staff.
