We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our educational team. In this vital role, you will serve as a bridge between students, families, teachers, and community resources to promote the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of our students. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and community agencies to develop individualized plans that support students’ social and emotional development.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ behavioral health needs, including screening for mental health issues or trauma.
  • Provide crisis intervention services during emergencies or behavioral incidents to ensure student safety and well-being.
  • Offer counseling sessions focused on conflict management, cultural diversity counseling, and behavioral health strategies tailored to each student’s circumstances.
  • Assist with child protective services referrals and coordinate interventions for students facing child welfare concerns.
  • Develop and implement programs that promote positive behavior, social skills, and emotional resilience across diverse student populations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of interventions, case notes, and progress reports in compliance with school policies and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field; licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
  • Proven experience working with children in educational or community settings.
  • Strong knowledge of child protective services protocols, crisis management techniques, and behavioral health practices.
  • Familiarity with special education processes and accommodations for diverse learners.
  • Excellent conflict management skills and the ability to work effectively within culturally diverse environments.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with students, families, educators, and external agencies. Pay: $60,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
