Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Science Assistant at the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum located in Canton, OH. The Science Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and delivery of educational programs, maintaining scientific exhibits, conducting tours, animal care of rescued wildlife, and supporting the daily operations of the museum. Additional responsibilities include assisting with research projects, creating educational materials, and engaging with visitors to provide a high-quality educational experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in educational program delivery .
• Strong research and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal communication and public speaking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
• Associates degree in Science, Education, or a related field
• Previous museum or educational institution experience is a plus
• Passion for science education and public service
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
