Science Teacher

The role is dedicated for private teaching & tutoring for children of a family based in Saudi Arabia, with locations between Riyadh & Jeddah cities. The role reports to the Education Team Leader and is part of a team of teachers.

Apart from monthly compensation, accommodation & transportation are provided, health insurance and annual ticket to home country. Same provided while travelling within country as well when required.

Teaching and Learning

1. Plan, deliver, and assess individualized lessons for secondary-aged students, ensuring alignment with the appropriate curriculum (Cambridge / Pearson Edexel)

2. Develop engaging, age-appropriate educational materials tailored to the student’s learning style and interests.

3. Provide one-to-one teaching to improve core skills in science subjects and math.

4. Incorporate creative, hands-on activities and experiential learning techniques to enhance engagement and retention.

Assessment and Feedback

5. Regularly evaluate the student’s progress through formative and summative assessments.

6. Provide detailed feedback to both the student and education leader, suggesting strategies for continued improvement.

7. Maintain accurate records of academic achievements, challenges, and completed learning goals.

Student Development

8. Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning skills.

9. Identify and address any additional educational needs, including social, emotional, or learning challenges.

10. Encourage a growth mindset, self-motivation, and resilience in the student.

Collaboration and Communication

11. Liaise with Education Team Leader to set clear learning objectives and expectations.

12. Collaborate with other colleagues if additional support is required.

Professional Development

13. Stay updated on educational best practices, curriculum changes, and innovative teaching methods.

14. Reflect on teaching practices and implement strategies for improvement.

Qualifications:

Min. of Bachelor degree in any of the science subjects

PGCE in a science subject or math

Experience:

Min. of 5 years experience teaching in school with similar curriculum.
