- Job Description – O Levels Science Teacher
Position: Science Teacher (O Levels)
Reports to: Head of Campus / Academic Coordinator
Role Purpose:
To deliver high-quality Science education (Physics, Chemistry, Biology – as per curriculum requirements) to O Level students, fostering academic excellence, critical thinking, and a passion for scientific learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the Cambridge O Level curriculum.
- Teach subject content clearly and effectively, adapting strategies to suit different learning styles.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, and practical lab activities to support conceptual understanding.
- Conduct and supervise laboratory experiments, ensuring safety standards are strictly maintained.
- Assess, record, and report on students’ progress through tests, assignments, and examinations.
- Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students to support their learning journey.
- Identify and support students with varying abilities, ensuring inclusivity.
- Collaborate with colleagues in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and exam preparation.
- Participate in school events, science fairs, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain professional classroom management and discipline aligned with school policies.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or related field.
- Teaching qualification/diploma preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching O Level/secondary classes (Cambridge curriculum experience desirable).
- Proficiency in English (spoken & written).
