CCSI is partnering with Onondaga County Department of Children & Family Services to hire a SCORE Specialist join our team of nearly 500 employees.

CCSI is a not-for-profit management services organization with a special focus in the area of behavioral health and human services. We help provider agencies, local and state government, and other not-for-profits deliver programs and services that improve health and quality of life for the people they serve. In this role, you will

Support day to day functioning of SCORE Summer Academy, to include:

  • Host SCORE Summer academy meetings at onsite and offsite locations, including developing and leading ice breakers, team building activities and training for student leaders.
  • Support SCORE Leaders in the research and design of workshop topics and modules.
  • Plan and support strategic initiatives for SCORE.
  • In partnership with the Director of Professional Development Initiatives, meet, consult, evaluate, examine, onboard, and train SCORE Leaders.
  • Host office hours for SCORE leaders to ensure individualized support in SCORE model.
  • Use lived experience to uplift and include youths’ perspectives.
  • Update SCORE’s social media page with photo and video content.
  • Model anti-racist and youth-driven principles.
  • Assist with the end of the year report and post-survey highlights.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


What you bring

  • Previous participation in the Student Coalition on Race and Equity (at least 2 years), having led at least two different SCORE workshops (Implicit Bias, White Privilege, Black History part 1, Black History part 2).
  • Have a high school degree or equivalency.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Experience leading workshops, training and facilitating dialogue.
  • Familiarity with technology and social media platforms.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including familiarity with PowerPoint and excel.

  • Effective in problem solving, prioritizing, and managing multiple objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to present engaging content to various sized groups of stakeholders.
  • Ability to build consensus among diverse groups, be culturally responsive in dealings with people, and respond positively to changing circumstances.
  • Satisfactory completion of required background screenings: criminal, Statewide Central Register.
  • Respect the confidential nature of all CCSI and CCSI customer information you are exposed to in the course of your work performance. Staff working directly with protected health information/electronically stored protected health information, personally identifiable information, and other patient/consumer/customer data, will abide by the specific procedures and policies outlined by CCSI’s Code of Conduct and CCSI’s Privacy and Security Policies, New York State regulations and Federal regulations.
