Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrap Buyer / Scrap Procurement Executive to join our growing operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, and managing scrap materials from suppliers, industrial facilities, workshops, construction sites, and scrap yards across the UAE.

The successful candidate should have strong market knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build long-term supplier relationships while achieving procurement targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new suppliers for scrap materials including metal scrap, industrial scrap, machinery scrap, vehicle scrap, and recyclable materials
• Visit factories, warehouses, workshops, construction sites, and scrap yards to inspect and evaluate materials
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and purchase agreements with suppliers
• Analyze scrap quality, quantity, grading, and resale potential before purchase
• Coordinate with logistics and transportation teams for material collection and delivery
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, and purchase documentation
• Monitor local and international scrap market prices and industry trends
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and business partners
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and operational standards
• Meet monthly procurement and sourcing targets set by management
• Identify opportunities to increase profitability and reduce purchasing costs

Requirements

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in scrap buying, metal trading, recycling, procurement, or related industries
• Strong understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to assess scrap material value and market pricing
• Experience dealing with industrial suppliers, workshops, contractors, and scrap yards
• UAE driving license is preferred
• Ability to work independently and travel across the UAE for supplier visits
• Basic computer skills including Excel, reporting, and inventory coordination

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing supplier network within the UAE scrap or recycling industry
• Experience in automotive scrap, machinery scrap, or industrial recycling
• Knowledge of logistics, transportation coordination, and material handling
• Multilingual communication skills are an advantage
