Scrum Master
Position Summary
We are seeking a collaborative and results-driven
Scrum Master
to serve as a servant leader and Agile coach for cross-functional teams. This role is responsible for facilitating Agile practices, promoting continuous improvement, removing obstacles, and helping teams deliver high-quality solutions efficiently and predictably.
The Scrum Master partners closely with Product Owners, Engineering leaders, and stakeholders to foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous learning while supporting the organization's Lean and Agile transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Team Leadership

Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams within designated product, platform, or feature areas.

Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Promote servant leadership principles and create an environment where teams can thrive, collaborate, and continuously improve.

Foster an inclusive and engaged team culture where responsibilities, expectations, and goals are clearly understood.
Agile Coaching & Continuous Improvement

Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile and Lean methodologies, best practices, and principles.

Drive improvements in team productivity, predictability, transparency, and delivery performance.

Help teams identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Support the development and adoption of Agile operating models across the organization.
Impediment Removal & Risk Management

Identify, track, and facilitate the resolution of team impediments and dependencies.

Escalate complex cross-functional issues and risks to leadership when necessary.

Work proactively to eliminate barriers that impact team performance and delivery timelines.
Planning & Collaboration
-
Coordinate and facilitate release planning, sprint planning, and cross-team alignment activities.

Partner with Product Owners and Engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

Assist with readiness and preparation for program increment planning, release planning, and other large-scale Agile events.

Collaborate with development leadership to identify resource constraints and critical bottlenecks.
Metrics & Performance Monitoring

Collect, analyze, and communicate Agile metrics and team performance indicators.

Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement using data-driven insights.

Track and communicate the impact of continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide transparency into team progress, capacity, velocity, and delivery outcomes.
Quality & Delivery Excellence

Promote Agile engineering and quality practices, including:

Story and feature kickoff sessions

Pair programming

Automated testing

Continuous integration and deployment practices

Support teams in maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and customer value.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience; or

Master's degree in a related field with applicable experience; or
-
Equivalent combination of education and experience, including 10+ years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.

Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Lean, and continuous improvement principles.

Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Ability to build strong relationships across technical and business teams.

Experience using Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications
-
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or similar Agile certification.

Experience supporting software development or digital product teams.

Familiarity with Agile scaling frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale.

Experience leveraging Agile metrics and reporting to drive performance improvements.
