Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented SDET/Android Engineer to join our innovative software testing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies for mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable mobile solutions by automating test cases, performing system and performance testing, and collaborating closely with development teams. Duties

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and Appium for Android and iOS applications.
  • Design and execute functional, regression, performance, load, and user acceptance tests to validate mobile app features across multiple devices and operating systems.
  • Collaborate with developers to understand application architecture, APIs (RESTful services), and backend systems like MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, and PL/SQL to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Perform root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases; troubleshoot issues related to mobile applications, network connectivity, or system integration.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps (TFS), or similar tools to facilitate continuous testing and deployment workflows.
  • Conduct system testing in various environments including Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure; participate in requirements gathering and review sessions to refine test cases.
  • Generate detailed test reports and documentation; communicate findings clearly to stakeholders; support release management activities ensuring quality standards are met.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in mobile testing with a focus on Android applications; familiarity with iOS testing is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (BDD), and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), Waterfall processes, and requirements gathering practices.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or SoapUI; ability to perform API testing with scripting skills for automation.
  • Knowledge of version control systems including GitHub, GitLab, SVN; experience with build tools like Maven or Ant.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner or JMeter; understanding of system performance metrics and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Working knowledge of databases including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle DB2; ability to write complex SQL queries for data validation.
  • Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with Jenkins or Azure DevOps for automated build/test deployment processes.
  • Strong analytical skills for data analysis and root cause investigation; excellent problem-solving abilities related to software troubleshooting.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across cross-functional teams; ability to document test cases thoroughly and support user acceptance testing (UAT). Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
