SE - Information Technology - IT Field Tech Student Employee

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits.
  • Must currently be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), or a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
  • Transient and Dual Enrollment students are in eligible for student employment.
  • Please Note: Applicants required to submit their resume and current course schedule in order for their application to be considered complete
Funding:
  • Federal Work Study (FWS) and/or Institutional Work Study (IWS)
Hours per week:
  • Up to 20 hours.
Days Needed:
  • Monday through Friday. (Flexible)
Times Needed:
  • Availability between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Flexible)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trouble-shoot/repair computers, printers, monitors and related computer operating systems.
  • Interact with DSC's administrators, faculty and staff to ensure prompt delivery of services and respond to needs under supervisor’s guidance.
  • Assist Field Tech Team with other duties relevant to the position as needed.
  • Report, as needed, to supervisor any Information Technology related issues that may arise

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Pursuant of a degree in any Computer Technology field is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Have basic computer skills with knowledge of taking components out of computer, and troubleshooting/diagnosing the troubled part.
  • Must be able to communicate well with students and staff.
  • Must have the ability to understand oral and written instructions without hesitance.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds when required
  • Must have reliable transportation.
