Sea Freight-Manager

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related.

* Minimum 5+ years of ocean freight forwarding experience.

* Strong understanding of applicable laws, regulations and other government requirements.

* Proven ability to establish or enhance ocean import/export operational functions.
Results oriented with the drive to grow an international ocean freight forwarding business.

* Strong analytical skills with a systematic problem-solving approach.

Roles and Responsibilities:-

* Oversee the provision of ocean transportation intermediary services to customers.
* Develop, implement, and continuously enhance ocean import/export operational procedures.
* Establish and manage relationships with origin counterparts and destination partners.
* Strategically grow a network of ocean carriers.
* Lead negotiation of rates and contracts with ocean carriers.
* Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development of best-in-class ocean import/export talent.
* Oversee the management of the branch ocean department.
* Ensure that productivity and profitability goals for ocean department are met.
