Seamstress Tailor
The Seamstress Tailor is responsible for the finishing and assembly of all fabric graphics produced under strict production deadlines.
What you will do:

Operate sewing equipment to apply Keder to the edge of fabric graphics, after utilizing a hot knife to cut to precise dimensions.

Measure and calculate sizes of existing and new frames to produce accurate finished fabric graphics.

Assist in the finishing of fabric components using established equipment, procedures, and using resources effectively to mitigate waste.

Finish projects according to deadlines, ensuring ship dates are met. Adjust and alter fabrics as needed for preexisting properties.

Manipulate fabric through patterning and sewing process’ including the use of Velcro, pole pockets, zippers, etc.

Fit finished printed and non-printed fabric graphics to frames or trade show components, with the aid of departmental staff and other production departments.

Attend all department meetings assigned, aid in recordkeeping of projects.

Work with Fabric Production Manager with transferring of grand-format fabric graphics and work as a team for overall production of all fabric graphics.

Learn new and trending fabric techniques and applications to stay up to date in industry.

Update live production schedule on graphic status.
Job Requirements:
-
Two years of experience sewing or fabric finishing, with proficiency in private or commercial/industrial sewing and or Keder application.
- Experience applying printed fabric to complex structures and methods to adjust print and fabric for optimal print display.

Experience with machines like Juki, Brother, Consew, and Supreme

Strong math, measuring, and oral and written communication skills
- Previous experience in the trade show or exhibit industries, flag and banner, or tent maker is a PLUS!

Ability to utilize tables for grand format graphic finishing, including but not limited to kneeling standing and bits of climbing onto and off tables.

Ability to lift or hold up to 35 lbs on occasion.

Experience with work area cleanliness, and general organizational skills.

A keen eye to recognize fabric graphic defects and other possible marks and stains.

Ability to be in building for mandatory overtime in rare cases.

Communicate effectively and professionally with peers to achieve common goals.

A strong work ethic.
