Are you a talented writer with a passion for search engines and AI? Rubio Monocoat, a global player in wood protection, is looking for an SEO & GEO/LLM Copy Specialist who doesn’t just write for Google but also thinks ahead to how we get found in AI-powered search experiences like ChatGPT, Perplexity and others.

You’ll join a vibrant digital team to elevate the Rubio Monocoat brand across North American sales channels.

Your mission: write, structure, and optimize content that truly resonates with search intent, both human and AI.

Your Role

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies defined in collaboration with local and international marketing leadership.
  • Conduct keyword and prompt research, targeting both traditional and generative search platforms.
  • Write clear, compelling, AI-friendly content: from landing pages and blog articles to product descriptions.
  • Optimize on page SEO including metadata, internal linking, and content structure
  • Maintain strong fundamentals for technical SEO basics such as crawlability, redirects, structured data awareness, and site hygiene, partnering with development support when deeper fixes are needed.
  • Support multilingual or multi-market considerations for US and Canada.
  • Collaborate closely with a skilled and multidisciplinary digital team, each contributing to the growth and performance of our sales channels.
  • Monitor organic performance (traffic, rankings, technical health) and surface opportunities, issues, and quick wins.
  • Explore AI-driven SEO tooling, structured data, and participate in CRO experiments alongside our performance team.
  • Provide long-term, scalable SEO solutions.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with drive, passion, and a strong sense of ownership. Someone who sets the bar high, sees opportunities, and goes the extra mile because the end result truly matters. You are curious, learn quickly, and enjoy making something that was already good even better.

  • Proven experience in SEO (2+ years), with a strong focus on content and site architecture.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with an understanding of search intent and conversion minded copy.
  • Experience with SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog.
  • Solid familiarity of CMS platforms, ideally Shopify.
  • Proactive, organized, and comfortable executing without heavy oversight.
  • Collaborative and excited to test, learn, and improve over time.
  • A forward-thinking mindset — you’re excited about AI-driven visibility and innovation.
  • Strong communicator in English.
  • Spanish/French familiarity is a plus.
