Creating new games is part of Rovio&rsquo;s DNA, and we are now looking for a <b>Senior 2D Artist</b> to join one of our growing teams working on a new action title. In this role, you will be responsible for creating bold, energetic, and engaging visual concepts that shape the look and feel of the game world. From early moodboards and sketches to final polished concepts, you will help bring our stylized universe to life and ensure our players enjoy visually delightful experiences.</div><div></div><div><br>
You will collaborate closely with game designers, 3D artists, and developers, translating gameplay and feature ideas into clear, appealing, and usable designs. This is a highly creative role where your concepts will directly influence characters, environments, and live content, keeping our players inspired and engaged.</div><div></div><div><br>
The team is primarily based in our Izmir studio, with expansion planned in Barcelona. If you&rsquo;re in T&uuml;rkiye but not yet in Izmir, we can support relocation&mdash;and if you&rsquo;re in Spain, we can provide work permit sponsorship. However, we&rsquo;re currently not offering relocation to Spain.</div>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>You will have impact and fun at work by:</b></h3><ul><li>
Creating appealing concept art for characters, environments, props, and UI elements that reflect the game&rsquo;s bold, stylized identity.</li><li>
Translating gameplay mechanics and feature briefs into usable designs that enhance clarity, personality, and playability.</li><li>
Producing a wide range of assets&mdash;from moodboards and thumbnails to polished concepts.</li><li>
Supporting the 3D Artist with callouts, references, and breakdowns to ensure smooth production.</li><li>
Injecting fresh energy into future seasonal events, skins, and live content with creative concepts.</li><li>
Iterating quickly based on team and player feedback.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Experience and skills we are looking for:</b></h3><ul><li>
Proven experience in stylized visual development for games, animation, or related creative fields.</li><li>
Ability in both character and environment concepting, with a keen eye for shape language, clarity, and appeal.</li><li>
Proficiency in digital illustration tools(Photoshop,Illustrator, Procreate, or similar).</li><li>
Good proficiency in Unity and Spine, including but not limited to importing assets, optimizing and setting up assets, atlases, timelines etc.</li><li>
Comfort with quick iteration, incorporating feedback, and adapting to evolving art direction.</li><li>
Understanding of the visual demands of mobile games (readability, scalability, performance constraints).</li><li>
Collaborative mindset, excited to work cross-functionally with designers, 3D artists, and developers.</li><li>
A passion for creating visually delightful experiences that connect with players worldwide.</li></ul><div>

Creating new games is a part of Rovio DNA and we are now looking for an <b>experienced 3D Artist</b> to add to one of our growing teams working on a new action title. In this role your goal will be bringing the visual style of the title to life. You&rsquo;ll be responsible for creating stylized 3D assets, ensuring they are optimized for mobile performance and meet our creative vision. You will be building new gameplay features, optimizing game feel, and shaping the technical future of the game, and have a direct impact on the game's core player experience and visual identity.</div><div></div><div><br>
The majority of the team is today located in our studio in Izmir and we are also looking to expand the team to Barcelona, Spain. If you are in T&uuml;rkiye but not in Izmir yet, we are able to support you with the move. If in Spain, we are able to provide work permit sponsorship if needed, but are not open to relocate to Spain at the moment.</div>

Creating and implementing stylized 3D assets, including bold characters, expressive props, and sports-inspired arenas, that align with the game&rsquo;s visual identity.</li><li>
Designing and developing custom shaders to achieve unique visual effects and enhance gameplay readability.</li><li>
Optimizing 3D models and scenes for mobile performance, ensuring smooth play across devices without sacrificing style.</li><li>
Working closely with game designers and engineers to seamlessly integrate art assets into gameplay, UI, and meta systems.</li><li>
Contributing to the game&rsquo;s visual evolution, helping refine and maintain consistency across all art elements (3D, 2D, VFX, and UI).</li><li>
Providing simple rigging and animation support to bring characters and props to life.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Experience and skills we are looking for:</b></h3><ul><li>
A strong portfolio showcasing playful, stylized 3D art with clear appeal.</li><li>
Proficiency in Unity, with hands-on experience implementing custom shaders and stylized visual effects.</li><li>
Strong understanding of mobile performance optimization, including clean topology, smart texture use and managing draw calls.</li><li>
Proven experience in modeling, texturing, and lighting within a stylized art pipeline.</li><li>
Experience with simple rigging and expressive animation.</li><li>
Familiarity with 2D/3D hybrid workflows and how to integrate UI, FX, and gameplay in Unity.</li><li>
Experience collaborating in a fast-paced, iterative environment.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of a feature from concept to implementation.</li></ul><div></div><div><br>
