This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Aviation Maintenance Technician program, including supervision of faculty and staff and performing administrative functions related to daily operations.

JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<div><ul><li>Oversee the Evening Schedule Aviation Maintenance program, including daily operations, faculty/staff supervision, and teaching assignments.
</li>
<li>Partner with Campus and Home Office Education teams on curriculum, course materials, scheduling, and training aids.
</li>
<li>Manage faculty performance through hiring, evaluations, coaching, meetings, and mentoring.
</li>
<li>Provide instructional support by substituting in classes and offering tutoring to students.
</li>
<li>Advise and support students on academic, behavioral, and attendance issues; monitor &quot;at risk&quot; students and update records in Campus Nexus.
</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with Department of Education, accreditor, regulatory, and safety (OSHA) requirements.
</li>
<li>Oversee tools, equipment, and supply inventory to ensure resources are available and maintained for class projects.
</li>
</ul>Education
<ul>
<li>Undergraduate or graduate degree preferred.</li>
<li>FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.</li>
</ul>
</div><div>Experience/Skills
<ul>
<li>Must have a minimum of three (3) years related practical work experience in the aviation maintenance field, specifically repair and installation. 
</li>
<li>At least 3 years teaching experience, with a minimum of 1 year at an AIM campus preferred.</li>
<li>
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven, compliance-oriented environment while staying detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and calm under pressure.
</li>
<li>High level of integrity, strong work ethic, professionalism, and a customer-service mindset, with persuasive and effective verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Teach our FAA-aligned curriculum in a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and skill development</li>
</ul><ul><li>Support program leadership in the development and revision of high quality, accurate course materials</li>
</ul><ul><li>Record accurate attendance, grades, evaluations, and other required documentation</li>
</ul><ul><li>Notify leadership of any emerging concerns affecting student performance or classroom operations</li>
</ul><ul><li>Complete required training and participate in classroom observations and evaluations</li>
<li>Complete other tasks and projects assigned by Supervisor</li>
</ul>
Qualifications

Education
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or GED</li>
</ul><ul><li>Associate degree in a related field preferred</li>
</ul><ul><li>Experience</li>
</ul><ul><li>At least three (3) years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience</li>
</ul>
Skillset
<ul>
<li>Strong command of aircraft maintenance systems and procedures with a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning</li>
</ul><ul><li>Experience with and openness to learning Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)</li>
</ul><ul><li>Flexibility to work outside scheduled hours as needed</li>
</ul><ul><li>Licensure</li>
<li>FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&amp;P) Mechanic Certificate</li>
</ul>
