What you will be doing as a Lead A&amp;P Mechanic:
In this role, you can expect to perform licensed A&amp;P maintenance, repairs, overhauls, modifications, and troubleshooting on Textron Aviation aircraft at the Tampa, FL Service Center. You&rsquo;ll apply your technical expertise in a hands-on environment where safety, quality, and precision matter every day.
Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
Aircraft Diagnostics &amp; Repair: Diagnose malfunctions and perform disassembly, repair, replacement, reassembly, and system adjustments across jet, turboprop, and piston multiengine aircraft to ensure flight readiness and on-time delivery
Advanced Systems &amp; Component Work: Inspect, repair, and replace complex aircraft systems and assemblies including avionics-integrated mechanical systems, landing gear, pressurization, environmental controls, turbochargers, and optional equipment installations
Engine &amp; Powerplant Support: Repair and replace engine components and accessories such as fuel and oil systems, starter generators, hydraulic and vacuum pumps, and related control units supporting safe aircraft operation
Inspections, Modifications &amp; Compliance: Execute 100hour, annual, and progressive inspections per FAR 43 while performing approved aircraft modifications and precision system updates
Functional Testing &amp; Flight Readiness: Conduct functional checks, engine runs, instrument testing and alignment, rigging, throttle synchronization, and preventive maintenance to validate system performance
Technical Leadership &amp; Documentation: Complete accurate maintenance and inspection documentation while providing guidance and hands on support to junior technicians and helpers

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The A&amp;P Mechanic has ETOPS duties as defined in the ETOPS Policies and Procedures Manual (EPPM). Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:

<li>When exercising authority under RII provisions, Mechanic will be directly responsible to Director of Quality and Engineering</li>
<li>Attend all training courses as assigned by any supervisor</li>
<li>Comply with all company rules, regulations, and procedures set forth in company manuals and policies developed by supervisor</li>
<li>Keep a constant watch for safety, excessive cost of labor duplication, ensure proper and adequate equipment is used, acceptable parts or components are installed and approved hardware or supplies are used</li>
<li>At stations where a Lead Mechanic is available, coordinate all troubleshooting work requests and part requirements with Lead Mechanic(s), otherwise coordinate with Maintenance Control</li>

What You Will Do:<ul><li>
Under direction of leader/supervisor, follow assembly drawings and/or specifications and computer information systems to prepare parts and build subassemblies, modules and accessories for new gas turbine engines where tooling and process methods are established. Provide related support for test operations and assist with testing under direct supervision and specific test schedules.</li><li>
Perform similar duties to assist with co-producer, customer support or other similar programs, retrofit projects and to accommodate new engine programs and assist with changes in specifications.</li></ul>
Qualifications You Must Have:<ul><li>
High School Diploma or Equivalent &amp; formal training in a specialized field achieving A&amp;P license or equivalent OR 4 years of technical high school including technical post high school certification and 5+ years of heavy automotive experience.</li></ul>
Qualifications We Prefer:<ul><li>
Experience as an aerospace mechanic or A&amp;P mechanic preferred.</li><li>
3 + years avionics mechanic experience.</li></ul>
