About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated AC and Refrigeration Technician to join the Engineering team at Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and overall care of all air conditioning and refrigeration systems across the property. You will play a critical role during the pre-opening phase by supporting commissioning, snagging, and ensuring all cooling and refrigeration equipment is operational to Four Seasons' world-class standards.
What You Will Do<ul><li>
Assist in the inspection, testing, and commissioning of all HVAC and refrigeration systems during the pre-opening phase to ensure operational readiness and compliance with specifications.</li><li>
Support snagging activities by identifying deficiencies in HVAC installations , reporting all issues on a timely manner.</li><li>
Carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on guest room air conditioning units split units, ventilation systems, walk-in freezers, refrigerators, ice machines, and kitchen cold equipment.</li><li>
Ensure proper functioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) related to HVAC operations, including temperature controls and energy efficiency programs.</li><li>
Monitor HVAC systems and refrigeration units to detect potential failures and optimize energy consumption.</li><li>
Perform regular inspections of filters, coils, motors, belts, and all HVAC components, replacing parts as needed.</li><li>
Maintain accurate logs of daily repairs, refrigerant usage, preventive maintenance activities, and system performance checks.</li><li>
Assist in setting up workshops, spare parts inventory, and maintenance storerooms during the pre-opening phase.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations when handling electrical equipment, refrigerants, and other potentially hazardous materials.</li><li>
Usage of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure systems are de-energized before working on them.</li><li>
Participate actively in emergency response situations, addressing system breakdowns quickly and professionally.</li><li>
Support sustainability initiatives by promoting energy-saving practices in HVAC and refrigeration operations.</li></ul>
What You Bring<ul><li>
A diploma or technical certification in HVAC, Refrigeration Technology, or a related mechanical field.</li><li>
Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration maintenance, preferably in luxury hotels, resorts, or large facilities.</li><li>
Evident track of solid understanding about diagnosing and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including different refrigerants, electrical components, and HVAC systems.</li><li>
Knowledge of BMS operations, energy conservation methods, and basic electrical controls related to HVAC systems.</li><li>

Role Overview &amp; Responsibilities
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance III is responsible for all facility and equipment maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and system upgrades.
Equipment Maintenance &amp; Repair
Perform all preventive maintenance and repairs on facility and production equipment, including (but not limited to):<ul><li>
SMETCO machinery and Palmatic equipment</li><li>
Forklifts and yard trucks</li><li>
Compressors, pneumatic, and vacuum systems</li><li>
Hydraulic systems &ndash; repair and troubleshooting</li><li>
Pneumatic systems &ndash; repair and troubleshooting</li><li>
Electrical systems: 24V DC, 120V AC, 240V AC, and 480V AC 3-phase wiring, troubleshooting, and repair</li><li>
PLC / IFM controls and 24V wiring schematics reading</li><li>
Photo sensor logic installation, configuration, and troubleshooting</li><li>
HVAC (heating and air conditioning)</li><li>
Lighting and facility infrastructure</li><li>
Production tools: Sawzall, air nail guns, screw guns, electric motors &ndash; repair and troubleshooting</li></ul>
Additional responsibilities include:<ul><li>
Install, troubleshoot, and remove equipment as needed</li><li>
Welding &ndash; arc and/or MIG welding and metal fabrication</li><li>
Read and interpret PLC, 24V wiring, and electrical schematics</li></ul>
Safety, Compliance &amp; Documentation<ul><li>
Maintain all logs related to machinery, equipment, forklifts, and required inspections</li><li>
Process preventive maintenance (PM) work orders accurately and on time using computer-based maintenance systems</li><li>
Ensure that all forklift drivers are certified and that certifications remain current</li><li>
Ensure all forklift maintenance logs and machine logs are accurate and up to date</li><li>
Enforce compliance with all safety policies, environmental regulations, and company procedures</li></ul>
Inventory, Parts &amp; Facility Support<ul><li>
Maintain accurate inventory controls for spare parts and critical components</li><li>
Source parts and services from vendors; obtain quotes and coordinate procurement as needed</li><li>
Support facility upkeep, building maintenance, and grounds maintenance as required</li><li>
Provide technical guidance and assist with training less experienced maintenance personnel</li><li>
Communicate clearly and professionally with plant management, operations teams, and vendors &ndash; both verbally and in writing</li></ul>
What You&rsquo;ll Need Experience &amp; Certifications<ul><li>
4+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, warehouse, or manufacturing environment</li><li>
Welding certifications (arc and/or MIG) required</li><li>
Electrical certifications or licenses required</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>
Associate degree in a technical field or trade school certification preferred</li></ul>
Technical Skills<ul><li>
PLC / IFM controls programming and troubleshooting</li><li>
24V DC wiring and schematic reading</li><li>
120V AC, 240V AC, and 480V AC 3-phase wiring, troubleshooting, and repair</li><li>
Proficiency reading and interpreting electrical and PLC wiring schematics</li><li>
Photo sensor logic: installation, wiring, and troubleshooting</li><li>
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems repair and troubleshooting</li><li>
MIG and/or arc welding; metal fabrication skills</li><li>
Sawzall and air nail gun repair and troubleshooting</li><li>
Computer proficiency: ability to process PMs, manage inventory, communicate via email, and use maintenance software</li><li>
Strong mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills</li><li>
Sourcing parts and services; vendor communication and procurement</li></ul>

Ability to work at heights, use ladders, and operate tools and equipment safely</li></ul>
Work Environment<ul><li>
Industrial/warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and varying temperatures</li><li>
PPE required in all designated areas</li><li>
May require occasional overtime or on-call support based on facility needs</li></ul>
