About the Role</b></p>

HERE is growing, and we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting &amp; Operations Analyst to join our team! This hybrid role is approximately 60% Finance-focused and 40% general Operations.</p>
<p>
This is a junior-level position and an excellent opportunity for an individual with foundational accounting knowledge who is eager to take ownership of core daily financial functions. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and supporting the team's efficiency, particularly as we optimize our NetSuite ERP system.</p>
<p>
Operations duties will scale with the needs of the team; a snapshot of potential responsibilities is outlined below.</p>

Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>General Ledger &amp; Bookkeeping:</li>
<li><ul><li>Perform daily and routine bookkeeping activities, including bank reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger.</li>
<li>Prepare and post routine journal entries, including standard, recurring, and reversing entries, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.</li>
<li>Support the month-end and year-end close processes.</li>
</ul></li><li>Tax &amp; Compliance Support:</li>
<li><ul><li>Assist in compiling documentation and schedules required tax filings in multiple jurisdictions.</li>
<li>Support the team with tax-related tasks, including sales tax setups and reporting within the NetSuite environment.</li>
</ul></li><li>System and Tool Management:</li>
<li><ul><li>Work extensively with NetSuite (our Enterprise Resource Planning system) for financial management, reporting, and data entry.</li>
<li>Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools for data analysis, reporting, and creating reconciliations and schedules.</li>
</ul></li><li>Administrative &amp; Ad-Hoc:</li>
<li><ul><li>Assist with internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and account reconciliations.</li>
<li>Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed.</li>
<li>Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting workflows.</li>

<li><ul><li>Ownership of equipment ordering and tracking for new and current employees</li>
<li>Assist HR as the on-site POC to welcome new hires</li>

</ul><p><b>What We're Looking For</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li>
<li>Two years of experience in a professional accounting or finance role. A minimum of prior internship experience in a corporate accounting setting is preferred.</li>
<li>Familiarity with foundational accounting principles (GAAP).</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/spreadsheets (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and other Microsoft Office/Google Workspace applications.</li>
<li>Familiarity with NetSuite or other major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage Intacct) is highly preferred.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>

The Accounting Analyst will support the daily execution of the employee expenses, intercompany reconciliation, and Prepaid Asset functions and assist with ongoing initiatives to improve efficiency, data quality, and automation across each process. The position will work with both faculty and administrative staff to ensure the department operates in a fiscally sustainable manner.</p>

<p>Responsibilities</p>

<li>Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assists PIs in the development, review, submission and renewal of various types of sponsored project proposals from a variety of sponsors including NIH, private foundations and industry</li>
<li>Ensures all programmatic reporting requirements (quarterly and/or annual progress and financial reports) are completed according to sponsor and institutional requirements and timeframes</li>
<li>For awarded proposals, liaises with Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA) office to ensure timely setup of award, pre-award compliance requirements are met and all sub-awards are established</li>
<li>Assigns and reconciles expense allocations (payroll and non-payroll) to funding sources with adherence to pertinent regulations, policies and procedures that govern the nature of funds</li>
<li>Performs budget vs. actual reconciliation of sponsored and non-sponsored funding sources and salary allocations of faculty and staff on both project year and fiscal year basis</li>
<li>Maintains funding overviews/forecasts for faculty in assigned divisions and meets with faculty to review on a regular basis</li>
