This role requires instructors to begin with in-person teaching assignments, with eligibility for online/hybrid modalities after successful onboarding and demonstrated instructional effectiveness. The position reports to the Business Pathways Program Chair and works collaboratively with faculty and staff to align teaching with program outcomes and college expectations.

The following constitutes an employment agreement between the college and faculty member and is contingent upon student enrollment and the authority provided by the Board of Supervisors for the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS). Faculty member agrees to fulfill the following responsibilities.<br>

 I. TEACHING AND DIRECT INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES</p><p>
1. Perform all instructional responsibilities in accordance with the role, scope, and mission of the College.<br>
 2. Adhere to designated schedule of classes and office hours.<br>
 3. Attend and provide meaningful instruction for all class sessions during the semester. Be punctual in class attendance and provide instruction for the complete class period. Make appropriate arrangements for necessary absences according to campus policies.<br>
 4. Create and maintain an environment conducive to learning and one in which all students are treated equitably and with respect.<br>
 5. Develop, distribute, and explain to all students within the first week of class, the course outline, the expectations of the course, the standards upon which students will be evaluated, the grading system, the attendance policy, safety policies, classroom management policies, and other information as deemed appropriate for students and the course.<br>
 6. Ensure that adequate time is devoted to class preparation such that class time is maximized to the benefit of the students and that content is up-to-date and presented in a professional manner.<br>
 7. Utilize a variety of teaching and assessment methods/instruments, which provide for the differences in learning styles of students, while covering the approved curriculum guide.<br>
 8. Maintain accurate attendance, progress, and evaluation instruments in a college-approved grade book format and file records in a timely fashion. (Evaluation instruments are to be maintained for at least three years.)<br>

 18. Participate in college in-service program(s), professional development opportunities, and college/state meetings, as applicable/assigned.<br>

 20. Complete all academic and occupational credential requirements as defined by LCTCS Board policies and procedures, as well as requirements defined by accrediting agencies.<br>
 21. Complete all College, system, and state mandated training in a timely manner.<br>

Faculty serve not only as instructors but also as mentors, bringing current professional experience into the learning environment and helping students connect academic content to real-world business practices.<br>
</div><div>The MBA is an asynchronous program, with courses offered in an 8-week online format six times per year. Faculty are expected to maintain an active and consistent presence while upholding program standards across all sections. Ongoing guidance and support are provided by the MBA Program Director, the College of Business, and the College of Professional Studies.<br>

<ul><li>Delivering graduate-level instruction in Accounting, Finance, and Economics, while maintaining the academic rigor appropriate to an accredited MBA program.</li>
<li>Mentoring students by drawing on professional experience to connect course content to contemporary business practices.</li>
<li>Maintaining a regular and substantive course presence, and actively engaging students in discussions that encourage critical thinking, analysis, and professional dialogue.</li>
<li>Posting weekly announcements that orient students to course content and connect material to real-world practice.</li>
<li>Hosting regular virtual office hours in a format accessible to working adults across various time zones.</li>
<li>Responding to student inquiries and grading student work in a timely manner, consistent with program expectations.</li>
<li>Adhering to all course policies, grading rubrics, and assignment structures as designed.</li>
<li>Collaborating actively with the Program Director and program staff by sharing instructional insights, flagging student concerns early, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of the program.</li>
<li>Participating in program communications, occasional faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities as requested.</li>
<li>Upholding university academic integrity policies and escalating concerns through appropriate channels.</li>

<ul><li>Master&rsquo;s degree in a related field required; terminal degree preferred.</li>
<li>Demonstrated professional expertise in Accounting, Finance, and Economics; practitioner background strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Experience teaching or facilitating learning with adult learners in online or professional settings; prior online teaching experience preferred.</li>
<li>Familiarity with andragogical principles and adult learning practices.</li>
<li>Proficiency with, or willingness to learn, the Brightspace/D2L Learning Management System.</li>
<li>A team-oriented mindset and willingness to engage as an active partner in a growing program.</li>
<li>Strong written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive, coaching-oriented feedback.</li>
<li>Qualified candidates will demonstrate either academic preparation or significant, current professional experience consistent with AACSB faculty qualification standards.</li>
