Our Accounting Supervisor is an operational team leader over a staff of Bookkeepers and others. This role oversees and leads a group responsible for the preparation and maintenance of client financial records including balance sheets, income statements, bank reconciliations, general ledger reports, cash disbursements, and cash flow statements for over 550 of our customers. There are additional requirements related to the banking, client set up, deposits, reporting, and tax preparation as well.
Experience in our industry is NOT required. We have a fantastic training program and learning system to assist you in becoming the expert. All we ask for is a leader with a servant attitude who enjoys developing and supporting others. We would like to see at least 8-10 years of solid leadership and management experience in financial services, banking, accounting, or similar fields, along with a bachelor's degree with major coursework in accounting.
The Accounting Team Lead is responsible for providing direction and leadership to the team by guiding and leading the department to deliver service that meets or exceeds client expectations while delivering and adhering to our award-winning culture. Position Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented General Accounting Team Lead to direct essential accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), cash management, prepaids, accruals, and fixed assets. Key Responsibilities

Supervise AP processes and cash payments to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments, proper expense recognition, and adherence to internal controls.</li><li>
Act as the primary point of contact with the company&rsquo;s banking partners, including reviewing and approving transactions, resolving discrepancies, and managing communications to ensure accurate and secure cash management.</li><li>
Oversee accounting for prepaids and fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations.</li><li>
Manage the company&rsquo;s credit card program, including reviewing transactions for accuracy and compliance, reconciling monthly statements, issuing new cards, and supporting employee cardholders.</li><li>
Manage the review and reconciliation of expense reimbursements submitted through the company&rsquo;s platform, working closely with Payroll.</li><li>
Prepare and review monthly accruals, ensuring expenses and asset-related activities are properly recorded in the appropriate periods.</li><li>
Lead all aspects of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles for cash, AP, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, credit cards, and employee expense reimbursements: prepare, review, and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.</li><li>
Analyze and report on expense variances and fluctuations; collaborate with FP&amp;A and business partners to investigate and explain trends. Maintain detailed records and supporting documentation for all functional areas.</li><li>
Lead audit efforts in respected areas (cash, AP, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, credit cards, expense reimbursements) and provide required information for internal or external audits.</li><li>
Serve as the NetSuite admin for the accounting team: create and manage user accounts, maintain user access levels, and oversee updates or changes to accounting processes and workflows within the system.</li><li>

Qualifications
