</div><p>Independently performs computerized double-entry accrual accounting in order to maintain a combination of computer-generated journals and ledgers on a fiscal year basis. Examines, verifies, and analyzes a variety of documents to determine their mathematical validity and accuracy prior to updating the general ledger. These documents may include, but are not limited to daily cashier's reports, contracts, call registers, Blanket Purchase Agreements, price lists, catalogs, statements of work, etc. May process daily electronic funds transfers and check writing transactions. Assists in establishing and processing schedules of input and reconciliations of transactions relating to accounting codes, purchasing requirements, club card transactions, general ledger, etc. Must insure accuracy of input from accounting areas and effective controls for reconciling all accounts on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis, to reflect the financial condition of the activities serviced by the accounting/financial office. Prepares a variety of documents and vouchers from daily transactions for trial balance. Maintains subsidiary records and performs reconciliation of transactions entering the general ledger. Accomplishes control logs for subsidiary records and formulates a variety of spreadsheets for control accounts, analyzes property records and inputs, and any other accountability records deemed necessary. Processes and validates financial input/output data and verifies reports from the computerized systems. Process reimbursement requests/expenditure reports. Maintain/balances assigned subsidiary ledgers with all supporting documentation.<br>

Have knowledge of accounting/financial reporting, process, distribution of funds, sources of funds, accounts receivable, cashier, inventory, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger operations. Plan and carry out the financial validation process in accordance with Air Force directives. Have knowledge of various computer systems. Have meticulous attention to detail to ensure financial accuracy. Progressively responsible experience with most of the duties described herein, which demonstrate the ability to satisfactorily perform at the grade and level of this position.<br>

This position is responsible for reviewing transactions related to capital assets to identify impact to GAAP capital asset reporting.<ul><li>

JOB SUMMARY
</b></p><p>Performs routine accounting work. Work involves maintaining, posting, and balancing accounting and financial statements, records, documents, and reports. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

</b></p><p>A. Classifies, codes, posts, and balances financial and accounting documents and records in an automated system; checks accounting operations in progress; and researches reconciliation discrepancies and prepares reports of findings.
</p><p>B. Monitors accounting operations and recommends improvements, adaptations, and revisions; and reviews and audits completed financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and departmental procedures and regulations.

A. Education, Experience, and Training</p><p>
1. Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE). Major course work in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred. Each year of experience as described below in excess of the required one year may be substituted for thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis.</p><p>
2. One year full-time, wage-earning accounting, bookkeeping, purchasing, or public administration experience.</p><p>
3. Computer operations experience preferred.</p><p>
4. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs preferred.</p><p>
B. Knowledge and Skills</p><p>
1. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures affecting the maintenance of accounting records and automated accounting systems.</p><p>
2. Knowledge of basic budget and fiscal activities relating to accounting, inventory control, warehousing, and project costing.</p><p>
