<div><div><b>Position Description:</b></div>
<div>The Churchill School and Center, a K-12 school for students with language-based learning disabilities is seeking an Accounts Receivable &amp; Tuition Management accountant. This role is essential to the ongoing financial operations of the school and is an integral member of the Business Office. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional who possesses heightened attention to detail, a facility with numbers and experience with meeting deadlines. They will provide timely and accurate tuition processing and prioritization of ad hoc requests. The Accounts Receivable &amp; Tuition Management accountant must be able to multi-task, work well independently and as a team member, and, most importantly, maintain the integrity of highly confidential information.</div>

<div></div><div><b>Tuition Receivables:</b></div>
<ul><li>Submit monthly online rosters to the NYC Department of Education to generate monthly tuition payments for funded students.</li>
<li>Work with the Enrollment Office to manage private tuition student accounts in Blackbaud&rsquo;s Tuition Management system.</li>
<li>Manage internal private tuition worksheet used by the CFO and the Enrollment team to track accounts with delinquent payments.</li>
<li>Prepare all tuition revenue and receivable payments journal entries in Financial Edge NXT/Tuition Management.</li>
<li>Inform CFO of all DoE or Attorney tuition payments received for private students.</li>
</ul>
<div></div><div><b>Tuition Management:</b></div>
<ul><li>Email Financial Assistance families with reminders of payment installments.</li>
<li>Collaborate with CFO and students&rsquo; attorneys on status of students&rsquo; reimbursement cases</li>
<li>Update private payment schedule for CFO</li>
<li>Record attorney responses related to student updates</li>
<li>Regularly follow up on expected student tuition approved payments</li>
</ul>
<div></div><div><b>General Bookkeeping</b>:</div>
<ul><li>Reconcile all monthly bank accounts</li>
<li>Process all internal bank transfers and wire transfers/ACH payments</li>
<li>Process any checks received</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Office of Philanthropy to record donations</li>
<li>Prepare and input monthly journal entries related to bank fees, interest income, cash transfers and miscellaneous</li>
<li>Process all cash receipts in Financial Edge NXT/ Treasury module</li>

<div></div><div><b>Qualifications:</b></div>
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree, preferably in accounting or finance</li>
<li>3-5 years of tuition receivables experience, preferably at a K-12 independent school</li>
<li>Attention to detail and facility with numbers</li>
<li>High degree of confidentiality, integrity and sensitivity to information</li>
<li>Strong organizational and calendar management skills</li>
<li>Ability to work efficiently and independently, as well as collaboratively, as a key member of the Business Office team</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li>
<li>Knowledge of the NYC Department of Education reimbursement process and related systems is highly desirable</li>
<li>Excellent follow up skills on outstanding issues and balances</li>
<li>Ability to &ldquo;connect the dots&rdquo; and solve open issues</li>
<li>Sense of humor!</li>
<li>Solid working knowledge of Blackbaud NXT Financial Edge, Microsoft Office Suite and the Google Suite of products</li>
</ul>
<div></div><div><b>Compensation:</b></div>
<ul><li>$70,000 -$80,000 annually commensurate with experience</li>
<li>Employee Benefits Package: 10 days annual personal/sick time, 15 vacation days, summer Fridays off and school holidays off. Remote working days (maximum 30 days per year) subject to approval.
