Your Role:
As a Commercial Pricing Actuarial Analyst, you will prepare and coordinate analyses for insurance rating. You will support individual account pricing, perform portfolio ratemaking analyses, and lead projects of moderate complexity.<ul><li>This role is posted as a level IV Actuarial Analyst. However, we are open to levels III - V for this role.</li></ul>
Your Work:<ul><li>
Support commercial auto pricing, including individual account pricing and portfolio-level analyses</li><li>
Conducts actuarially sound statistical analysis by selecting appropriate data sources and making assumptions to develop recommendations for pricing</li><li>
Documents assumptions, methods, sources and considerations in an organized fashion</li><li>
Prepares actuarial findings and documents that are suitable for technical and non-technical audiences</li><li>
Participates in peer reviews to increase collaboration, ensure quality work and drive innovation</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, finance, and claims, to provide actuarial support</li><li>
Follow industry developments, trends, market landscape, and emerging actuarial methods and tools</li><li>
Depending on experience, provides mentorship and guidance for more junior colleagues</li><li>

Required Experience, Education and Skills<ul><li>
BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 5 years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis</li><li>

Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams</li><li>

Your Role: As a Commercial Casualty Claims Specialist, you will be responsible to resolve all aspects of 1st and 3rd party injury claims of low to moderate complexity for personal lines as well as our commercial claims. Your duties will require you to become licensed in several states as you will be handling claims in a multitude of regions across the nation.<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Your Work:</h2><ul><li>
Manage all claims efficiently and effectively to an appropriate resolution with minimal supervision.</li><li>
Handle all aspects of liability injury claims of low to moderate complexity to include all coverage, liability and damage concerns.</li><li>
Handle 1st party exposures to include Medical Payment coverage, PIP, Uninsured Motorists, Under-insured Motorists claims as well as ADB (Auto-Death Benefit) claims.</li><li>
Assist in taking first notice of loss calls (FNOL) and participate in the department phone queue as needed.</li><li>
Make coverage determinations and conduct investigative work of a complex nature, advising customers as to accurate course of action related to coverage issues.</li><li>
Make appropriate liability determinations based upon the evidence gathered.</li><li>
Evaluate any potential for subrogation and initiate an initial notice of subrogation request.</li><li>
Develop negotiation strategies to resolve claims effectively and efficiently with insureds, claimants, or representatives of the injured parties.</li><li>

Your Work:

Maintain updated eBilling-related information on company and/or division intranet sties for others to reference as appropriate.</li><li>

Required Experience, Education and Skills<ul><li>
Associate degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field</li><li>
2 years of experience in legal operations, business analysis, legal administration or comparable experience</li><li>
Experience with and strong understanding of legal and insurance terminology and concepts</li><li>
