The Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) will provide specialized, comprehensive clinical assessments and consultations with the inmates and staff at both detention centers. Access to assessments and recommendations will help facilitate client-centered linkage to community services. The LCAS will focus on inmates who are in detox protocol but who are not participating in the Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. The role of the LCAS is to provide comprehensive clinical assessments with inmates in the detox protocol.</div><div></div><div>

Provide individual, group, and family counseling focused on addiction recovery, relapse prevention, and behavioral health.</li><li>
Collaborate with reentry coordinators, case managers, probation officers, and healthcare providers to ensure integrated care</li><li>
Facilitate referrals to community resources including detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient services, employment, housing, and social supports</li><li>
Document clinical progress and maintain compliance with program and regulatory guidelines</li><li>
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, training, and community outreach related to jail diversion and reentry.</li><li>

The Assessment Specialist conducts the initial clinical evaluations and assessments to determine the appropriate level of care and makes recommendations and referrals for treatment based on procedures defined by State, County, Community Behavioral Heath, and program requirements. This position works closely with internal and external clinical team members to ensure the completion of all required client documentation and successful transition to the designated level of care
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Within the confines of the offices of the Division and Agency. Travel to other Agency sites as well as to outside meetings, conferences, or workshops may be required on an as needed basis.
