Summary
Illinois Central College is looking for Adjunct Faculty to teach chemistry courses. Courses may include general education chemistry, chemistry for allied health, and/or majors-level general and organic chemistry. Daytime and evening course schedules are available. If courses are available, adjunct faculty may continue to teach for future semesters.
Adjunct Faculty are primarily responsible for instructing assigned courses and meeting classroom standards. The Adjunct Faculty must follow institutional syllabi. Additionally, Adjunct Faculty will be required to maintain office hours to best ensure student success. Adjunct Faculty teach on a part time basis up to 12 contact hours per semester.

 This is a part-time, Adjunct Faculty position in the Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services Department.

 The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities.  Job Duties

 Prepares and delivers instruction on topics in Criminal Justice.
 </li>
 <li>
 Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develops curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists in student recruitment and retention; and assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom.
 </li>

 Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.

Position Overview:
Adjunct Nursing faculty are responsible for facilitating learning and learner development, using assessment and evaluation strategies, participating in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, evaluating student learning and program outcomes, and functioning within the educational environment. This role must be fulfilled in accordance with the rules and regulations of the state and federal regulatory and accrediting bodies.

Department Summary

The Department of Information Science offers programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. Our programs are nationally recognized and ranked. The Master of Science program with majors in Library Science and Information Science is accredited by the American Library Association. The School Library Media Certification is ranked tenth in the nation and the Health Informatics program is ranked seventh in the nation. We also offer the nation&rsquo;s largest interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Information Science. 
 
UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.
Position Overview

The Department of Information Science seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and Summer 2027 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.
Minimum Qualifications

Master&rsquo;s Degree in Information Science or related field(s).
Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in Information Science or related field(s) 
 
5 years of teaching or professional industry experience 
 
Teaching experience in graduate-level courses at UNT or similar higher institutions of education. Ability to teach and lead online instruction, and familiarity with the Canvas academic platform.

<div>The Department of Communication, Journalism and Media at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor in Sports Media for the Fall 2026 semester.
Sports Multimedia Reporting: This course develops students&rsquo; skills in hard-news sports reporting, game coverage, and the production of introductory multimedia and social media sports content. Employs out-of-the-classroom reporting assignments to refine information gathering techniques such as interviewing, observation, and use of documents and other contextual materials. Includes reporting and writing on sports games, teams, players, coaches, athletic issues/controversies, and the business of sports.
Salary is $4,215.98 for a 3-credit course. Please note that a full course is considered to have 9 students enrolled in the course. If a section is not full, 8 or fewer enrollees, the salary is prorated based on the number of students enrolled in the course.</div>
