</b></p><p>The AI Pathologist project is an interdisciplinary initiative aimed at developing an advanced AI-driven diagnostic system using 3D medical imaging modalities (CT, MRI, PET) and explainable AI (XAI) techniques to support medical professionals in improving diagnostic accuracy, reducing workload, and enhancing patient outcomes. The Postdoc Researcher will play a key role in implementing system prototypes, managing data pipelines, and supporting the development and validation of AI models in collaboration with clinicians and engineers.

<div>Under the general direction and supervision of the Assistant Director of Adult Education, the Adjunct Instructor, ESL is responsible for supporting students&rsquo; English as a Second Language development from true beginner to career/college-ready academic levels through individualized classroom and/or online instruction by developing data- and needs-driven individual learning plans.<br>
<br>
The Adjunct Instructor, ESL is responsible for supporting up to 16 ESL students as they use in-class, text-based, and/or online materials to build English language skills in leveled ESL classes. They create lesson plans, introduce students to text-based and online study programs, conduct high-quality, interactive face-to-face and/or remote classes, use data from regular measurements of students&rsquo; progress to guide instruction, and support students in and out of class to achieve learning goals.<br>

This is a part-time temporary position, requiring 6-10 hours/week. Paid training is available and required. This position is located in Nebraska City, NE.</div>

<div><div><b>Essential Functions</b></div>
<div><div><ul><li><b>Provide course expectations to all students upon student entry into the class.</b></li></ul>
<ul><li><b>Develop and implement </b><b>ESL</b><b> classes based on students&rsquo; assessment results, </b><b>ESL</b><b> best practices, </b><b>SCC</b><b> </b><b>ESL</b><b> program standards, and student goals for study.</b>Use Data from CASAS pre-measurement of skills and post-measurement of progress to guide students to targeted individualized supports, such as text-based and online materials.</li></ul>
<ul><li><b>Support students with appropriate advice regarding studies and learning.</b><br>
Advise students about materials and information that may be useful to their English language improvement, including course level adjustments, additional English language learning resources, pursuing post-secondary study, work preparation, and strategies for improving English language skills.</li></ul>
<ul><li><b>Maintain accurate records and participate in supporting program requirements.</b><br>
Complete student attendance in a timely manner. Instruct students on how to keep accurate records, such as student attendance sign-in sheets. Assist in student retention efforts. Support program progress review efforts and encourage students to participate in them.</li></ul>
<ul><li><b>Manage all student onboarding requirements: pre- and post-assessment; intake process; and </b><b>SCC</b><b> class registration process.</b></li></ul>
<ul><li><b>Maintain and report a minimum of 8 hours of professional development annually. </b>Complete state- and program- required professional development. Attend mandatory program in-service and meetings. Read and act upon program emails and meetings with updates and information.</li></ul>

<div><div><b>Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</b></div>
<div><ul><li>Knowledge about instructing non-native speakers of English</li></ul>
<ul><li>Knowledge of working in multi-lingual, multi-level classes</li></ul>
<ul><li>Must have excellent communication and computer skills.</li></ul>
<ul><li>A working knowledge of career pathways and employability skills training is helpful.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ability to use basic computer skills such as online learning programs, email, shared digital information, computer-aided instruction, and audio-visual communication software</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds for short distances, move tables, chairs, and media equipment.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and on the phone.</li></ul>

Phlebotomy instructors provide both didactic and skills instruction in the Phlebotomy Technician program to prepare continuing education students for clinical experience and employment. Instructor evaluates students by a variety of means to measure progress in achieving course objectives and skills mastery and informs students of their progress.<br>

<b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b><br>

1. Conduct organized classes at the instructional level to meet the educational requirements stated in the course description and objectives.<br>
2. Teach core skills related to phlebotomy and other lab techniques<br>
3. Evaluate the progress of each student; notify students in need of remediation and/or tutoring services.<br>
4. Prepare students for required clinical course<br>
5. Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.<br>
6. Participate in appropriate professional development activities to assure currency in both discipline, knowledge and instructional methods<br>
