Under supervision of the Dean of General Education, the adjunct instructor provides a learning experience in the classroom, online, and/or in the lab using a variety of teaching methods such as lectures and demonstrations and using audiovisual and technological aids to supplement the presentations as well as evaluating their achievements.</div><br>

Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy. Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.<br>

The Music Program at Lansing Community College is seeking adjunct (part-time) faculty to teach Applied and Private Lessons to Voice and/or Piano students. Faculty may have the opportunity to teach other courses in the Music Program. Participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and College initiatives. Participate in student assessment initiatives within the program and college, and implement the determinations of those initiatives. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.</p>

Master's Degree in Music from a regionally accredited college or university; or Master's Degree in a related field (from a regionally accredited college or university) with a minimum of 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) of graduate-level coursework in Music.<br>

Alternative Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Music or related from a regionally accredited college or university plus 2 years of professional experience; or Associate's Degree in Music or related from a regionally accredited college or university plus 4 years of professional experience; or 6 years of professional experience.<br>
