<li>Work with appropriate CTU teams (e.g., advising, academic/faculty leadership, and University staff) and leverage appropriate information to identify and support students who may be exceptional or challenged in their coursework and/or educational endeavors.</li>
<li>Refer students to appropriate co-curricular and extra-curricular resources (e.g., advising, tutoring, library, learning centers, and career services).</li>
<li>Participate in and contribute to CTU's academic governance through attendance at appropriate University/college/program meetings and participation in the academic assessment and institutional effectiveness process (including completion of appropriate surveys and participation in continuous improvement initiatives).</li>
<li>Successfully complete required new faculty certification training, course-specific technology/pedagogical training, annual ethics and information technology policy training, and annual faculty development requirements.</li>
<li>Provide periodic required documentation of ongoing and updated licensures, certifications, immunizations (as appropriate to the specific college/program), scholarship, and academic/professional experience (e.g., CVs/resumes).</li>
<li>Work closely with Program Chair and/or Lead Faculty (as appropriate).</li>
<li>Perform other responsibilities and abide by the appropriate policies and procedures contained in CTU's Faculty Handbook.</li>

Under supervision of the Dean of General Education, the adjunct instructor provides a learning experience in the classroom, online, and/or in the lab using a variety of teaching methods such as lectures and demonstrations and using audiovisual and technological aids to supplement the presentations as well as evaluating their achievements.</div>

Rochester Community and Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Aviation Instructor to teach in the Aviation Pilot program for the Fall 26' semester. This position may include instruction in ground school and other aviation-related coursework.
The Adjunct Aviation Instructor will provide instruction in Aviation Pilot program courses. Teaching assignments may include topics such as Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, and CFI ground school courses, as well as Advanced Aircraft Systems or Aviation Human Factors. 1. providing instruction in accordance with established curriculum, course outlines and class schedules; 
2. creating and maintaining an environment which emphasizes learning, encourages free discussion of ideas and critical thinking; 
3. evaluating progress of students concerning educational matters and grades student work; 
4. meeting with students outside of class; 
5. maintaining appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics; 
6. maintaining current knowledge in the subject matter areas; 
7. fulfilling professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member; 
8. maintaining accurate academic records; 
9. performing other related duties as assigned. 
 
Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience: 
Understanding of and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, staff and faculty. 
 
EDUCATION: 
Any bachelor's degree AND two years of professional Educational Experience OR any associate degree AND six years of professional experience.
