The adjunct faculty member will work under the direct supervision of the Division Chair and will:</p>

<li>Prepare and distribute to students a course outline in accordance with the course syllabus.</li>
<li>Develop instructional materials (lectures, readings, assignments, exams, projects, etc.) that will achieve the learning outcomes as stated in the course syllabus.</li>
<li>Evaluate student performance throughout the semester and provide periodic and constructive feedback to students.</li>
<li>Evaluate student performance and post grades for each student as directed by the Provost&rsquo;s Office and offer availability to discuss grades with students in person, by email or phone.</li>

JOU 2204 Sports Broadcasting </b>introduces students to the world of sports broadcasting including, but not limited to, the preparation for play-by-play and color commentary, conducting in-studio radio and television sportscasts and interviews, providing voiceovers for game highlights and doing TV and Radio broadcast work.</p><br>

JOU 3312 </b><b>Advanced News Reporting and Writing for TV &amp; Radio </b>examines the techniques and principles of newswriting and producing broadcast news scripts as well as gathering video and content for news stories, doing broadcast reporting and interviewing. Students gather, write and record news stories and examine the theories and practice of broadcast news and explore ethical issues related to broadcast stories and newscasts.</p><br>

Qualifications:</b></p>

<li>Teaching and experience are at the core of being an effective adjunct faculty member, so experience both in teaching in higher education in the field of news broadcasting, sports broadcasting or sports journalism and industry experience are highly valued.</li>

What You'll Do::

Under supervision of the Dean of General Education, the adjunct instructor provides a learning experience in the classroom, online, and/or in the lab using a variety of teaching methods such as lectures and demonstrations and using audiovisual and technological aids to supplement the presentations as well as evaluating their achievements.</div><br>
