The Office of the Commissioner Representing Employers provides legal, educational, and policy services to employers across Texas. Key functions of the legal team include:<br>
<ul><li>Preparing for weekly Unemployment Insurance appeals cases.</li><li>Presenting content at the Texas Conference for Employers, an employment law information conferences sponsored and hosted by the TWC Employer Commissioner.</li><li>Managing a statewide employer hotline and constituent email for employment law inquiries.</li><li>Developing and publishing Texas Business Today, a monthly e-newsletter for employers.</li><li>Maintaining the Texas Guidebook for Employers, a leading legal reference guide.</li><li>Offering legal and policy support related to unemployment insurance, wage claims, workforce regulations, and employer compliance matters.</li><li>Performs entry-level to routine (journey-level) legal work.
