<b>Maintenance Services Duties:</b><br>

<li>Ensures staff is properly trained on all safety including: electrical, chemicals, equipment, supplies and in compliance with OSHA safety regulations</li>
<li>Directs all maintenance programs for heating, cooling, water, gas, electrical, mechanical, grounds, carpentry, painting, sprinklers, fire alarms, plumbing, building exteriors, etc.</li>
<li>Monitors community and grounds regularly to identify needed repairs or replacements: apartments, common areas, depart work areas, landscaping, signage, sidewalks, driveway, parking area, fences, curbs, retaining walls, etc.</li>
<li>Completes minor repairs (i.e., icemakers, dyers, washers, dishwashers, small appliances)</li>
<li>Prepares apartments for residency: wall repairs, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, cabinetry, appliance repair, carpet/drapery damage or replacement, etc.</li>
<li>Completes safety inspections: emergency lighting, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, fire drills, etc.</li>
<li>Ensures effective pest control program is implemented</li>
<li>Schedules preventive maintenance to refurbish or replace deteriorating items and avoid future costly repairs</li>
<li>Inspects energy conservation efforts community wide (i.e., insulation of pipes, no excessive lights burning, thermostat settings, not leaving doors and windows open, water conservation.)</li>
<li>Promptly notifies Executive Director of maintenance related repairs or other concerns</li>
<li>Keeps outside traffic areas free of with debris, snow, ice and other traffic hazards</li>
<li>Assists with resident move in and move out as necessary</li>

SALA provides civil legal aid in nine southeastern Arizona counties and to eleven tribal communities.</p><p><b>PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS: </b>The Executive Assistant (EA) provides high-level confidential administrative, governance, compliance, communications, and project support to the Executive Director and Management Team. Working knowledge of the legal system and experience with persons who are court involved is important to the role. Candidate should possess administrative skills in program development and management, as well as staff supervision skills, and community networking.</p><p><b>Qualifications</b>: Skills in assessing and addressing the behavioral health needs of clients referred by the courts for intervention and treatment. Ability to manage the array of services offered in diversion programming at the agency, i.e. Pre-trial Diversion, General Diversion, Theft Counseling and Violence Prevention. Clients referred have a variety of presentations which may range from low end needs requiring monitoring and psychosocial education to higher end needs requiring referral and engagement with mental health or chemical dependency treatment. The position is also responsible for administrative functions and clinical supervision of staff in the General Diversion Program. Direct services include; needs assessment, clinical assessment, psychosocial education, counseling, case management, information and referral, and the development of plans for intervention in an effort to prevent recidivism in the criminal justice system. The Director of Diversion Services works closely with the courts in the county to promote the use of Diversion Services, to manage referrals to the programs, and to provide ongoing staffing/ updates on cases once referred. The director engages in ongoing communication with the local courts, attorneys, and prosecutors to ensure that the programs provided fulfill the current needs in the criminal justice system for diversion programming. Completion of any required documentation including program entry, progress/ status updates or completion reports must be managed in a timely and through manner.
