RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>&middot;Evaluate adoptive families and write adoptive home studies.</li><li>Assist with facilitating domestic and international adoption placements (as applicable) including legal requirements.</li><li>Communicate and coordinate with international adoption authorities, other agencies, the State Department, to assist prospective adoptive families.</li><li>Provide consultation and support for adoptive families and domestic birth families.</li><li>Serve as a liaison between adoptive families and birth families, other adoption service providers, or placement agencies.</li><li>Educate adoptive families on adoption issues (international and domestic) and assist with adoption training.</li><li>Supervise children in adoption and write post placement/adoption reports.</li><li>Provide follow up services for families that have finalized adoptions.</li><li>Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:​​​​​​<ul><li>All applicants must have a Christian belief and demonstrated lifestyle compatible with the Apostolic Christian Church of America (ACCA) with the support of his or her local elder or pastor.</li><li>Be at least 23 years of age</li><li>Relevant bachelor&rsquo;s degree</li><li>Have a dedicated interest, love and sensitivity for youth and families</li><li>Possess good motivational, organization, and communications skills</li><li>Have ability to establish positive working and interpersonal relationships and use a team approach</li><li>Have a commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth</li></ul>Critical Success Factors<ul><li>Passionate about adoption of children</li><li>Compassionate towards adopted children, adoptive parents, and birth parents</li><li>Communication skills</li><li>Assessment and judgment skills</li><li>Knowledge of transracial and transcultural adoption</li><li>Sensitive to background and culture of children adopted internationally</li><li>Knowledge of developmental and behavioral/attachment issues of adopted children, especially from an overseas orphanage</li><li>Counseling and teaching skills</li><li>Writing skills</li><li>Timeliness</li></ul>Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hourWork Location: In person
