The University of Washington Department of Otolaryngology&ndash;Head and Neck Surgery is seeking one full-time ARNP or PA at the rank of Teaching Associate. The Advanced Practice Provider (ARNP or PA) deployed at UWMC Mountlake and Fred Hutch Cancer Center (FHCC), is a member of a tertiary care Otolaryngology-HNS team that includes 14 attending physicians, 25 residents, 7 APPS, as well as audiologists, speech language pathologists and over 50 support staff.
The candidate will be an integral member of our Head &amp; Neck Surgery and Oncology team. Clinically, the applicant will be responsible for providing services independently and collaboratively in the outpatient environment including initial and ongoing assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patient&rsquo;s medical status. This is a Teaching Associate position in the Department of Otolaryngology Head &amp; Neck Surgery. Teaching Associates hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
The anticipated start date is May 1, 2026. Experience is preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Desired Experience
<ul><li>Clinical expertise in the care of surgical and oncologic patients.
</li><li>Training and experience in the provision of otolaryngology care including initial assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and management of non-surgical Otolaryngology indications: oral cavity lesions, head &amp; neck skin cancer patients including melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and basal cell carcinoma, dysphagia, chronic cough, chronic sinusitis, conducting pre/post op visits, performing sino-nasal endoscopy, and cerumen removal.

<ul><li>Provide complex and problem-focused surveillance care, screening/diagnostic evaluation, management, and follow-up with otolaryngology patients.
</li><li>Participate in the interdisciplinary evaluation, management, and follow-up of patients using appropriate clinical practice guidelines.
</li><li>Evaluate and manage urgent issues.
</li><li>Perform procedures according to licensure, credentialing, and scope of practice including wound assessment, radiological interpretation, oral/pharyngeal endoscopy, sino-nasal endoscopy, and cerumen removal
</li><li>Collaborate with the Otolaryngology team, PCPs, and other providers to ensure coordination and continuity of care for patients across the continuum of care and over time.

UW Medical Center -Montlake Department of Otolaryngology &ndash; Head &amp; Neck Surgery (ENT) has an outstanding opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Division of Rhinology &amp; Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery. This APP team member will be deployed full-time within the Division of Rhinology.
The Rhinology team includes four fellowship trained faculty surgeons and a dedicated clinical support staff (RN, coordinator, and medical assistant). Our team is a distinguished group of fellowship trained surgeons that practice the full spectrum of patient care related to conditions of the nose, sinuses and skull base. Please refer to our division&rsquo;s website for more information ( UW Sinus and Skull Base Center ). The APP will be fully integrated into a supportive care team model that strives for excellence within a rich and immersive clinical care environment. Our group emphasizes the values of team and mentorship as guiding principles in our mission to be the premier site of care for patients with nose and sinus conditions.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing services independently and collaboratively with appropriate privileges, including initial and ongoing assessment, as well as diagnosis and treatment of the patient&rsquo;s medical condition.
Position Details:
Full-time (1.0 CFTE), Outpatient Ambulatory APP, Day Shift, 40 hrs/week.
This APP will hold a Teaching Associate faculty position in the Department of Otolaryngology Head &amp; Neck Surgery (ENT). This faculty position has an annual service period of 12-months (July 1 - June 30). The anticipated start date is March 1, 2026. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Standards of Practice and Performance
1. Collaborate with an inter-professional team including surgeons, residents and fellows, nurses, medical assistants, and coordinators across a variety of medical and surgical sub-specialties to provide high quality patient- and family-centered care at the #1 Health Institution in the State of Washington (UW Medicine) and within a Nationally Ranked ENT Department.
2. Independently and collaboratively provide comprehensive care for patients with conditions that affect the nose, sinuses, and skull base. The APP will have a mix of independent and shared clinical deployment.
3. Deliver timely and problem-focused initial assessment of the patient&rsquo;s medical condition. Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic imaging in a timely manner. Provide management and follow-up care for patients with disorders of the nose, sinuses, and skull base. Candidates can expect direct mentorship with three fellowship trained sinus and skull base surgeons.
4. Participate as an integral member of the sinus and endoscopic skull base surgery team through the development of collaborative and innovative practices, and evaluation of patient care outcomes.
5. Communicate in a professional and respectful manner with all members of the health care team whether through verbal, email or secure text communication.
6. Participate in improvement projects focused on quality and operations. Participate in and support the rhinology division&rsquo;s education, research and quality initiatives.
7. Provide patient and/or family with health education, counseling and referrals to other health professionals and community resources as appropriate.
8. Attend and participate in the monthly rhinology faculty meetings.
9. Follow the UW Medical Center &ndash; Montlake&rsquo;s professional behavior policy and procedures.
Service APP Duties
1. Patient/family/provider communication about disease and treatment and how it relates to patient values, priorities, and goals of care across the care spectrum.
2. Provide ambulatory clinical care within the Rhinology clinic Monday-Friday. Evaluate patients within template clinic time and as needed.
3. Contribute to the plan of care and communicate directly with patients, families and the care team.
4. Promote a collaborative approach to decision making with appropriate interdisciplinary consultation.
5. Ensure appropriate and timely hand-off of patient care when absent from clinic.

About the Fellowship

The UWMC Cardiovascular Advanced Practice (CV APP) Fellowship prepares postgraduate APPs (Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners) to utilize evidenced-based practice and develop specialized skills to care for chronic and acutely ill patients across the continuum of cardiovascular specialty and subspecialty areas.

The UWMC CV APP Fellowship is an intense, highly structured, comprehensive program through which newly licensed APPs will acquire in depth cardiovascular knowledge, advanced skills, and mentorship to deliver safe, quality care that meets standards of practice at a quaternary medical center.

The Fellowship is designed for self-motivated, eager, skilled, and knowledgeable newly licensed graduates who excelled in their APP training and now wish to build upon those skills in a high acuity medical center. The Fellowship includes 12-months of practice-based experiences and didactic activities to promote professional development in cardiovascular care. The 2026/2027 CV APP Fellowship will begin on November 2, 2026 and complete on October 31, 2027. Given the licensing and credentialing process, applicants must anticipate having completed national certification examinations by August 31, 2026.

This is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. The Department of Medicine: Hematology and Oncology has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Coordinator 1 to join their team.
The University of Washington's Division of Hematology &amp; Oncology includes 130+ faculty members located at the UW Medical Center, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, and the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. Over the past 40 years, members of the Division have developed the world's leading bone marrow transplant program. In addition, members of the Division have made substantial contributions to many other areas of cancer treatment, including the use of tumor vaccines, cellular therapy for cancer, antibody-based treatments, and novel forms of chemotherapy and hormonal therapy. Our Division is deeply committed to maintaining its position as one of the leading centers for research and treatment of cancer in the world.
The Division of Hematology &amp; Oncology has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator. The purpose of this position is to promote the research objectives of the Cancer Vaccine Institute (CVI) in the Division of Medical Oncology. This position will work as a member of the Clinical Research Team that conducts primarily Phase I and Phase II Investigator-initiated clinical trials to test immune-based therapies for cancer.
Position Complexities
Complexities and dimensions of this position include the requirement for close collaboration with research partners in community oncology practices to identify potential study patients, to interview patients to assess interest in clinical trial participation, and to review medical records to determine if patients are eligible for immunotherapy trials. Patients currently being enrolled in CVI trials typically have advanced stage cancer, and the emotional impact of working closely with this patient population can be a challenge. This position requires the collection and organization of a large volume of detailed medical and clinical research information, and the ability to continually refine processes and procedures to work more efficiently and effectively.
Position Dimensions and Impact to the University
The UW Medicine CVI's mission is to conduct basic and clinical research that leads to the development of effective immune-based cancer therapies and diagnostic tests. The Research Coordinator 1 will play a key role in implementing clinical trials that test new cancer therapies. They will be knowledgeable and observant of all applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines for the safe and ethical conduct of clinical research.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Trial Intake: 40%
&middot; Act as initial point of contact for all new clinical trial referrals and inquiries.
&middot; Respond to all incoming inquiries and referrals in a timely and professional manner.
&middot; Independently obtain medical records as it pertains to the clinical trial screening and eligibility; including but not limited to: imaging, labs, surgical notes, chart notes .
&middot; Initiate and maintain communication with outside physicians who refer patients to UWMC and/or FHCC for clinical trials. Communicate research requirements effectively with all providers involved in patient care including outside physicians who are interested in referring patients to CVI for clinical trials.
&middot; Provide scheduling, as needed, for study consent, screening and eligibility tests.
&middot; Develop preliminary patient eligibility assessment and triage patients for potential studies, with assistance as needed.
&middot; Update and maintain clinical trial patient lists and waitlists.
&middot; Document intake assessments and processes in study specific databases.
&middot; Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and electronic medical record (EMR).
&middot; Ensure all intake procedures meet compliance requirements of all aspects of Institution, Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) regulations pertaining to clinical research in human subjects (e.g. investigator financial disclosure requirements of the FDA).

Clinical Participant Communications: 30%
&middot; Explain key logistical and clinical aspects of clinical trials to potential study participants and referring providers by telephone, e-mail, and/or in written documents, request assistance, as needed.
&middot; Obtain and abstract clinical information for research participants in order to conduct preliminary patient eligibility assessment, enter data into study specific data capture systems, and document, assess, and report adverse events and safety data to study investigators, sponsors, IRB&rsquo;s and other regulatory authorities when applicable.
&middot; Communicate with patients to discuss logistical and scientific aspects of clinical trials, assess preliminary eligibility, and assess interest in clinical trials.
&middot; Participate in informed consent process for potential patients involving minimal risk procedures.
Study and Data management: 30%
&middot; Facilitate and track study visits, tests, and procedures in accordance with the protocol, ensuring billing compliance, and accurate and complete data collection, including informed consent forms and source documentation.
&middot; Work with research team to ensure that projects are executed successfully and completed within required time frames to meet research objectives.
&middot; Work with monitors to develop and implement corrective action plans to ensure protocol adherence, and data integrity, and to resolve queries in a timely manner.

 Position Summary
 The X - Ray Technician is a critical part of our team of committed, self-motivated people who provide critical services to promote and maintain our service, care, and our values.
 The X - Ray Technician is responsible for imaging procedures according to Care Center or Ambulatory Surgery Center needs. The X-Ray Technician assists with the provision of patient care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Leadership Team. The X-Ray Technician performs duties according to scope of practice designated by the position description, key duties, and responsibilities and under the direction of the designated Clinical Leadership.
 Key Duties and Responsibilities
 The key duties and responsibilities of the X-Ray Technician – Limited Scope include, but are not limited to:
 <ul>
<li>Maintain knowledge of radiation equipment, including the routine maintenance and care of equipment</li>
<li>Perform radiologic examinations following Care Center and/or Ambulatory Surgery Center protocols</li>
<li>Operate radiologic and PACS equipment</li>
<li>Proper patient positioning</li>
<li>Calculate exposure factors and applying principles of radiation protection</li>
<li>Caring for patient needs during radiologic examinations</li>
<li>Evaluates procedure room and imaging equipment for technical quality and stores images according to policy and guidelines</li>
<li>Knows and practices the principles and procedures of sterile technique if working in an Ambulatory Surgery Center setting</li>
<li>Maintains documentation, reports, and files in the Electronic Medical Record or paper chart, as directed</li>
<li>Accurately completes documentation and coding to bill for x-ray services performed</li>
<li>Coordinate image sharing between sites and other organizations</li>
<li>Calculates and regulates equipment using established technique, knowledge, and skill</li>
<li>Assists patients with pre and post procedures according to facility policy and established guidelines</li>
<li>Assists with housekeeping tasks as necessary to provide a safe environment for patients, team members, physicians, guests</li>
<li>Assist other personnel as directed by Leadership Team</li>
<li>Completes other duties as assigned</li>
<li>Follows all policies as introduced during new associate On-Boarding, updated real-time and outlined in the Employee Handbook</li>
<li>Work under the supervision of the Radiology Technologist supervisory team or a physician.</li>
<li>May also perform duties as listed in the Medical Assistant job description (e.g. rooming patients).</li>

Education/Experience
 <ul>
<li>High School Diploma or its Equivalent</li>
<li>Minimum 1 years’ clinical radiology experience preferred</li>
<li>Basic Anatomy & Physiology course completion – preferred</li>
<li>X-ray Technician – Limited Scope application completed, paid and approval received through Washington State DOH.</li>
<li>Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment required or documentation of current BCLS certification</li>
<li>Proven X-ray Technician – Limited Scope competencies preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire (Care Center specific).</li>
</ul>
