UW Medical Center -Montlake Department of Otolaryngology &ndash; Head &amp; Neck Surgery (ENT) has an outstanding opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Division of Rhinology &amp; Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery. This APP team member will be deployed full-time within the Division of Rhinology.
The Rhinology team includes four fellowship trained faculty surgeons and a dedicated clinical support staff (RN, coordinator, and medical assistant). Our team is a distinguished group of fellowship trained surgeons that practice the full spectrum of patient care related to conditions of the nose, sinuses and skull base. Please refer to our division&rsquo;s website for more information ( UW Sinus and Skull Base Center ). The APP will be fully integrated into a supportive care team model that strives for excellence within a rich and immersive clinical care environment. Our group emphasizes the values of team and mentorship as guiding principles in our mission to be the premier site of care for patients with nose and sinus conditions.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing services independently and collaboratively with appropriate privileges, including initial and ongoing assessment, as well as diagnosis and treatment of the patient&rsquo;s medical condition.
Position Details:
Full-time (1.0 CFTE), Outpatient Ambulatory APP, Day Shift, 40 hrs/week.
This APP will hold a Teaching Associate faculty position in the Department of Otolaryngology Head &amp; Neck Surgery (ENT). This faculty position has an annual service period of 12-months (July 1 - June 30). The anticipated start date is March 1, 2026. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Standards of Practice and Performance
1. Collaborate with an inter-professional team including surgeons, residents and fellows, nurses, medical assistants, and coordinators across a variety of medical and surgical sub-specialties to provide high quality patient- and family-centered care at the #1 Health Institution in the State of Washington (UW Medicine) and within a Nationally Ranked ENT Department.
2. Independently and collaboratively provide comprehensive care for patients with conditions that affect the nose, sinuses, and skull base. The APP will have a mix of independent and shared clinical deployment.
3. Deliver timely and problem-focused initial assessment of the patient&rsquo;s medical condition. Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic imaging in a timely manner. Provide management and follow-up care for patients with disorders of the nose, sinuses, and skull base. Candidates can expect direct mentorship with three fellowship trained sinus and skull base surgeons.
4. Participate as an integral member of the sinus and endoscopic skull base surgery team through the development of collaborative and innovative practices, and evaluation of patient care outcomes.
5. Communicate in a professional and respectful manner with all members of the health care team whether through verbal, email or secure text communication.
6. Participate in improvement projects focused on quality and operations. Participate in and support the rhinology division&rsquo;s education, research and quality initiatives.
7. Provide patient and/or family with health education, counseling and referrals to other health professionals and community resources as appropriate.
8. Attend and participate in the monthly rhinology faculty meetings.
9. Follow the UW Medical Center &ndash; Montlake&rsquo;s professional behavior policy and procedures.
Service APP Duties
1. Patient/family/provider communication about disease and treatment and how it relates to patient values, priorities, and goals of care across the care spectrum.
2. Provide ambulatory clinical care within the Rhinology clinic Monday-Friday. Evaluate patients within template clinic time and as needed.
3. Contribute to the plan of care and communicate directly with patients, families and the care team.
4. Promote a collaborative approach to decision making with appropriate interdisciplinary consultation.
5. Ensure appropriate and timely hand-off of patient care when absent from clinic.
Salary
The base salary range for this position will be: $10,834 - $14,150 per month ($130,008 - $169,800 annually)commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

Qualifications
 
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant/Associate program.
2. Current and valid state licensure as an ARNP or PA-C or foreign equivalent
3. Nationally Certified ARNP/PA-C with DEA.
4. Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment.
5. Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in the care of patients.
Desirable Qualifications
1. Although previous ENT experience is preferable, over time candidates will be mentored and provided professional opportunities to gain knowledge and procedural skills.
2. Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record.

The University of Washington Department of Otolaryngology&ndash;Head and Neck Surgery is seeking one full-time ARNP or PA at the rank of Teaching Associate. The Advanced Practice Provider (ARNP or PA) deployed at UWMC Mountlake and Fred Hutch Cancer Center (FHCC), is a member of a tertiary care Otolaryngology-HNS team that includes 14 attending physicians, 25 residents, 7 APPS, as well as audiologists, speech language pathologists and over 50 support staff.
The candidate will be an integral member of our Head &amp; Neck Surgery and Oncology team. Clinically, the applicant will be responsible for providing services independently and collaboratively in the outpatient environment including initial and ongoing assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patient&rsquo;s medical status. This is a Teaching Associate position in the Department of Otolaryngology Head &amp; Neck Surgery. Teaching Associates hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
The anticipated start date is May 1, 2026. Experience is preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Desired Experience
<ul><li>Clinical expertise in the care of surgical and oncologic patients.
</li><li>Training and experience in the provision of otolaryngology care including initial assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and management of non-surgical Otolaryngology indications: oral cavity lesions, head &amp; neck skin cancer patients including melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and basal cell carcinoma, dysphagia, chronic cough, chronic sinusitis, conducting pre/post op visits, performing sino-nasal endoscopy, and cerumen removal.
</li></ul>Standards of Practice and Performance
<ul><li>Provide complex and problem-focused surveillance care, screening/diagnostic evaluation, management, and follow-up with otolaryngology patients.
</li><li>Participate in the interdisciplinary evaluation, management, and follow-up of patients using appropriate clinical practice guidelines.
</li><li>Evaluate and manage urgent issues.
</li><li>Perform procedures according to licensure, credentialing, and scope of practice including wound assessment, radiological interpretation, oral/pharyngeal endoscopy, sino-nasal endoscopy, and cerumen removal
</li><li>Collaborate with the Otolaryngology team, PCPs, and other providers to ensure coordination and continuity of care for patients across the continuum of care and over time.

About the Fellowship

The UWMC Cardiovascular Advanced Practice (CV APP) Fellowship prepares postgraduate APPs (Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners) to utilize evidenced-based practice and develop specialized skills to care for chronic and acutely ill patients across the continuum of cardiovascular specialty and subspecialty areas.

The UWMC CV APP Fellowship is an intense, highly structured, comprehensive program through which newly licensed APPs will acquire in depth cardiovascular knowledge, advanced skills, and mentorship to deliver safe, quality care that meets standards of practice at a quaternary medical center.

The Fellowship is designed for self-motivated, eager, skilled, and knowledgeable newly licensed graduates who excelled in their APP training and now wish to build upon those skills in a high acuity medical center. The Fellowship includes 12-months of practice-based experiences and didactic activities to promote professional development in cardiovascular care. The 2026/2027 CV APP Fellowship will begin on November 2, 2026 and complete on October 31, 2027. Given the licensing and credentialing process, applicants must anticipate having completed national certification examinations by August 31, 2026.

This is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Other compensation associated with this position may include payments for vacancy coverage or premiums for factors such as acuity, nights, call should they apply to service. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Drives sales by working across business units, leadership and sales teams to set goals and develop sales forecasts for each territory. Partners with operations and payer counterparts to build regional strategic market plans to increase market penetration. Assists in development and implementation of all promotional activities. For Regional Sales Director Health Systems &ndash; At least 5yrs business to business medical sales experience with hospital, health system, IDN or provider group executive decision makers (Medical Director, C-suite, etc.)</li><li>
For Regional Sales Director IVIG &ndash; At least 5yrs experience selling IVIG or related products and services to neurology, allergy, immunology.</li><li>
At least 3yrs experience directly managing people including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work. Experience in leading team efforts within highly matrixed organizations.</li></ul>
Basic Qualifications &amp; Interests:<ul><li>
Expertise analyzing and reporting sales data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.</li><li>
Experience using and teaching time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking project plans and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.</li><li>
Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within Option Care and externally with customers (ex. medical director, head of case management, executive c-suite individuals).</li></ul>

Willing to travel at least 60% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications &amp; Interests:<ul><li>
MBA in Business Administration with at least 7 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience.</li><li>
Prior experience selling strategic solutions (specialty products and/or services) to hospitals, health systems and medical groups.</li><li>
Infusion/health care service experience in following therapeutic areas: anti-infective, nutrition, immunology/neurology, oncology or transplant.</li><li>
Deep understanding of billing and reimbursement procedures for hospital, medical offices and Medicare (B/D benefits) as well as medical offices.</li></ul>
