</p><p>As a Technical Services Engineer II (Powerplant) you will provide fleet technical management, continuing airworthiness management and technical support functions for Emirates fleet to ensure compliance to regulatory &amp; safety requirements, reliability, passenger comfort and cost effectiveness.
</p><p><b>In this role you will:
</b></p><div><ul><li>Provide fleet technical management, continuing airworthiness management and technical support functions for Powerplant.
</li><li>Routinely evaluate manufacturers/regulatory authorities&rsquo; technical documents, taking appropriate actions and update internal engineering documents including Engineering Order and Special Engineering Workcard.
</li><li>Review in-service data (e.g Tech log, Pilot Reports, Defects) and implement actions to improve fleet, engine, component and/or system reliability and maintainability, including optimisation of aircraft maintenance programs.

 The GE Aerospace Quality Engineer in Pittsburgh will be responsible for key functional, business, and company objectives and report to the onsite Quality Leader.   Essential Responsibilities:

 <ul>
  <li>
   Lead and support inspection and release-to-service processes in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements
  </li>
  <li>
   Provide oversight of inspection procedures to ensure inspection methods and techniques are performed accurately by inspection personnel.
  </li>
  <li>
   Drive quality excellence, regulatory compliance, and a strong safety and quality culture across the site
  </li>
  <li>
   Reduce risk in shop operations through robust inspection methods, documentation integrity, and strong control of materials and data
  </li>
  <li>
   Solve complex quality and compliance issues while supporting execution of the long-term business plan
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain historical records in accordance with required retention timelines and practices.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ensure all applicable inspection and test equipment is checked, calibrated, repaired, or readjusted at required intervals to maintain correct calibration status.
  </li>
  <li>
   Serve as the secondary interface with regulatory agencies, (e.g. FAA, EASA, UK CAA)
  </li>
  <li>
   Ensure that all regulatory requirements are met.
  </li>
  <li>
   All Regulatory, Customer and Supplier audit requirements are satisfied.
  </li>
  <li>
   Introduce and manage the Safety Management System at the shop.
  </li>
  <li>
   Perform internal audits locally and at remote locations.
  </li>
  <li>
   Conduct Quality and Human Factor training for all staff.
  </li>
  <li>
   Conduct Root Cause Analysis and PFMEA when required.
  </li>
  <li>
   Own the proactive quality framework for reducing quality risk at the shop.
  </li>
  <li>
   Lead RCCA Execution for the shop facilitating best practice sharing with other GE Aerospace and OWS shops

  Minimum Requirements
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Bachelors degree (in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering preferred) from an accredited college or university and 3+ years of experience in Aviation and Production Quality Assurance (or a minimum high school diploma / GED with an additional 4+ years of experience in Aviation and Production Quality Assurance).
  </li>
  <li>
   1+ years of experience working with aviation regulatory agencies.

 <ul>
  <li>
   Experience working with FAA FAR 145 procedures.
  </li>
  <li>
   Qualified Auditor with auditing experience within regulated aviation environments desired.

   Prior inspection / certifying staff experience in an MRO or Part 145 setting is highly preferred.
  </li>
  <li>
   Familiarity with inspection methods and techniques used in the station&rsquo;s area of expertise.
