<ul><li>Support the construction of dies (shrink factor analysis), gages and support tooling needed to produce and inspect ceramic cores, wax patterns and castings.</li>
<li>Identify and improve process yields using various data analysis techniques (statistical, mathematical, DOE, 6 Sigma, etc.) to uncover variables in the process.</li>
<li>Interface with tooling vendors and CPP Purchasing to produce a quality tool/die at a competitive price.</li>
<li>Control the dimensional quality of castings to meet or exceed customer expectations.</li>
<li>Develop internal job instructions.</li>
<li>Identify, evaluate and implement new process technologies that will improve manufacturing and product capabilities.</li>

With limited management consultation, this position requires conceptualization and articulation of innovative solutions to highly technical and complex engineering problems. Often functioning in a leadership role, the position may direct the planning and oversight of projects and will represent the Fluid Conveyance team and Mechanical Engineering organization through technical presentations and documents.
