 The Aesthetic Medical Assistant - Support will act as liaison between front office and provider for ensuring timely and orderly client flow. This role will be responsible for back-office functions including client preparation, support of health care providers and clinic operations in a manager that promotes quality client care. The MA will report to the clinic manager, who will help determine provider support assignments to maximize clinic productivity. This role also includes assisting with rebooking and product sales to further enhance operational efficiency.

This may include independent study and research during non-working hours and/or travel&middot; Understanding of HIPAA laws &amp; use discretion handling patient information&middot; Assist other staff in performing sanitization procedures for the entire clinic per our COVID-19 protocol&middot; Maintain a clean, organized work space at all times &amp; sanitize after each patient interactionWhat you&rsquo;ll need:&middot; Two years experience as a medical assistant or front desk preferably in the dermatology or aesthetics industry&middot; One year working experience with EMR&middot; Completion of Medical Assistant authorized program by the Dept. of Education or post secondary institution accredited or approved by the bureau of Private Post Secondary and Vocational education in the Dept. of Consumer Affairs is preferred&middot; BLS Certification is preferred&middot; Demonstrated completion of ten clock hours of training in administering injections and performing skin tests, and/or ten clock hours of training in venipuncture and skin puncture for the purpose of withdrawing blood, and satisfactory performance by the trainee of at least ten each of intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections and ten skin tests, and/or at least ten venipuncture and ten skin procedures&middot; Knowledge of dermatologic terminology and disease condition sufficient to communicate treatment status with patients and their families, medical faculty and staff, and other health professionals&middot; Ability to keep a running inventory&middot; Knowledge of surgical dressing applications&middot; Knowledge of lasers&middot; Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities&middot; Knowledge of surgical instruments&middot; Knowledge of operating and maintaining standard surgical medical equipment&middot; Become proficient with and utilize scheduling &amp; register software, including programs and websites used for patient communication &amp; marketing&middot; Adhere to predetermined work schedule &amp; be punctual&middot; Extraordinary customer service &amp; communication skills&middot; Excellent computer skills that include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)&middot; Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings as needed.
