The impact you will have:
As a Senior AI Engineer on the AI team, you'll own significant parts of the Agentic stack that power Elliptic's copilot. About the role</h2>
We are looking for an AI-native Product Engineer who can take real problems and ship to production.
This is not a classic frontend or backend role. You will work end-to-end across product, design, engineering, AI workflows, data and integrations. You should be comfortable understanding messy business problems, designing pragmatic solutions, shipping quickly and improving based on real usage.
We are looking for a builder who wants to own outcomes, not just tickets.<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
What you will do</h2>
You will own product problems end-to-end, from discovery to production.
This includes:<ul><li>
Understanding user problems, workflows and constraints</li><li>
Turning vague requirements into clear product solutions</li><li>
Designing and building fullstack features across UI, backend, database, APIs and integrations</li><li>
Building AI-powered workflows using LLMs, retrieval, agents, structured extraction and tool use</li><li>
Working with documents, data sources and enterprise systems</li><li>
Shipping quickly, testing with users and iterating based on feedback</li><li>
Caring about product quality, UX, performance, reliability, security and maintainability</li><li>
Using AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow</li><li>

Your profile</h4>
You are probably a strong fit if you:<ul><li>
Have strong fullstack engineering skills, ideally with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js and Postgres</li><li>
Have built and shipped real products end-to-end</li><li>
Can move from problem to working product without needing detailed specs</li><li>
Are comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration</li><li>
Think deeply about user experience, not just implementation</li><li>
Care about clean architecture, good abstractions and production reliability</li><li>
Understand how modern AI products are built beyond simple prompting</li><li>
Know how to work with APIs, data models, permissions, background jobs and integrations</li><li>
Have strong product judgment and can challenge unclear requirements</li><li>
Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical people</li><li>

 <li>
 You haven't just built LLM systems &ndash; you've run them in production, with everything that really entails: cost, latency, evals, edge cases, monitoring.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Hands-on experience with Claude Code, the Anthropic Agent SDK, or multi-step AI agents in production.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 You extend AI tooling via MCPs and custom integrations against real data sources.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Depth in LLM workflows: prompt engineering, tool use, structured outputs, RAG &ndash; and the judgment to choose the right tool for each problem.

 <li>
 You think entrepreneurially and product-driven: you talk to users, question requirements, cut scope decisively, and tell AI gimmicks apart from real business impact.
