Through this opportunity, you join the Citi Global Data Insights team within Marketing &amp; Content unit of our Client Division. The successful candidate will be a curious and critical thinker eager to solve a wide variety of analytical challenges, while communicating any output in simple terms; verbally, through visualizations, effective summary statistics, and external content.
You will work with internal and external clients to execute on their bespoke projects and content generation by utilizing alternative datasets, different data platforms and data science techniques. Based in Bangalore, this role will appeal to a highly motivated individual looking to leverage their strong quantitative skillset in a highly visible and growing front-office department.
In this role, you&rsquo;re expected to:
<ul><li>You will help to drive the development and implementation of GenAI and Agentic AI tools for Marketing and Content department</li><li>
You will be a visible data science expert, working closely with other team members across the globe to help with requests from external clients in interpreting their briefs and converting them into high quality actionable data science projects.</li><li>
You will support existing data analytics and data science projects, participate in investigating new project ideas, design a framework of a solution, evaluate its effort and feasibility and provide recommendations to management who will align against financial value.</li><li>
You will work on all stages of the data analysis cycle - collect, process and enrich data of different formats from multiple sources using a variety of technologies and platforms; load, manipulate data using free SQL writing; analyze the data using various analysis tools and visualize data.</li><li>
You will contribute, from an analytics and content perspective, towards external publications and work closely with Client Division and other LOB stakeholders on these publications.</li><li>
Help to improve the derived data assets available within the team, to effectively push a project from data curation to data analysis and execute on the agreed form of output and into production.</li><li>
Create a strong relationship with the different stakeholders of each project updating on the progress and consulting iteratively when necessary.</li><li>
Gather, validate, and analyze large complex information sets; understand the meaning of the data and how it applies to end users; identify and trouble-shoot / problem solve issues with data or results.</li></ul>
Development Value:
The role will give you exposure to world's largest asset management firms, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, other institutional and corporate clients. You will be exposed to the strategic plans and considerations of senior management. You will also work with proprietary datasets from other divisions across Citi franchise to provide unique insights to clients.
As a successful candidate, you&rsquo;d ideally have the following skills and exposure<ul><li>
2-5 years&rsquo; experience of Agentic AI and Generative AI and tools</li><li>
BSc or MSc degree with emphasis on one or more of the following: big data, data science, computer science, computer engineering, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative discipline.</li><li>
Expertise in Data Science tools and machine learning techniques like Arima, regime-based models, VAR, error correction models, multivariate time series models, neural networks, decision trees, clustering and pattern recognition</li><li>
Proven experience with working on various databases including Big Data platforms. This includes data engineering, analysis and modeling.</li><li>
Strong knowledge and experience of statistical and data mining, machine learning and generative AI</li><li>
Programming experience with Python, R, Java or other related tools</li><li>
Strong working knowledge of SQL, ETL and BI tools</li><li>
Strong analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business requirements and provide data to help observe trends and identify anomalies.</li><li>
Financial industry knowledge; an understanding of, and keen interest in, investment management and financial markets highly desirable</li><li>
Experience in producing dynamic visualizations of complex data &ndash; a strong advantage</li></ul>
