<div><p>Cargo Agent duties include any one or a combination of duties include the loading and unloading of cargo and mail, aircraft and ground equipment operation, as well as cleaning, service and towing of aircraft and equipment, engaging and disengaging of air-start and ground power units, cargo transfers, cargo warehousing and cargo services including telephone sales, customer information and other cargo office duties. In addition, a CA performs other duties within the normal scope of cargo work and to ensure optimum customer service and maximum effort in achieving departmental goals. Essential Duties:</p>
<ul><li>Routes inbound and outbound air freight shipments to their destinations.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Receives counter orders from customers and arranges for pickup of freight and delivery to loading platform.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assembles cargo according to destination.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Weighs items and determines cost, using established tariffs.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Direct or participate in cargo loading in order to ensure completeness of load and even distribution of weight.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Itemizes charges, prepares freight bills, accepts payments and issues refunds.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Prepares manifest to accompany shipments.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Adhere to required security procedures and hazardous material handling requirements.</li></ul>

<li>Prepare transfer manifests and notify accordingly for multiple carriers/cities.</li>
<li>Transmit Customs for numerous airlines.</li>
<li>Send arrival notices for international inbound shipments to multiple carriers/cities.</li>
<li>Work independently and with a team to solve problems.</li>
<li>Any additional requests by the station and department management teams.</li>

<p><b>Requirements:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED required.</li>
<li>Must be able to obtain a valid airport SIDA badge.</li>
<li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li>
<li><b>Must have a valid and unexpired US Driver&rsquo;s license</b>.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.</li>
<li>Candidates must possess some intermediate computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office programs.</li>
<li>Must be able to clearly understand and communicate in English when performing essential job functions.</li>
<li>Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks, applicable Custom Security Seal, and post offer drug screens.</li>
<li>Be available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.</li>
<li>Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced, high-noise environment, and meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Some travel may be required for airline specific training.</li>
</ul>
