Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: The HVAC Supervisor must have a current and valid US driver&rsquo;s license, NATE III certification (HVAC service) certification by a nationally recognized certifying organization preferred but not required. Licenses from states or municipalities that require experience and examination similar to level III certification requirements are valid. Must be EPA section 608 Universal certified. Certifications at level III shall include multiple areas of competencies and specializations such as: air conditioning, air distribution, air-to-air heat pumps, gas furnaces, light commercial refrigeration, and commercial refrigeration. Any apprenticeship programs shall include both classroom instruction and on-the-job apprenticeships. Experience Must have at least five (5) years of experience as an HVAC Technician or Mechanic Must have at least three (3) years supervisory experience. Skills Knowledge of competencies and specialization such as: air conditioning, air distribution, air-to-air heat pumps, gas furnaces, light commercial refrigeration, and HVAC/R systems.
