Responsibilities:

We are seeking an Assistant Dispatcher to join our high energy, fun, and fast paced work environment. The Asssitant Dispatcher is responsible for helping scheduling the drivers routes and ensuring on-time, accurate deliveries. Use the dispatch program to track orders from other stores and set up/ distribute runs to drivers</li><li>
Supports lead Dispatcher in ensuring that driver counts money collected and put delivery times on bills</li><li>

Work with drivers to and verifies they know the correct route</li><li>
Work with customers over the phone to update them on the status of their orders</li><li>

Qualifications:

The Wheelchair Passenger Services Dispatcher / Coordinator at Nashville International Airport (BNA) is responsible for coordinating and assigning wheelchair service agents to ensure safe, timely, and professional assistance to passengers requiring mobility support. This position plays a critical role in supporting airline partners at BNA while upholding ABM&rsquo;s standards for safety, service excellence, and operational efficiency.

The Dispatcher/Coordinator ensures compliance with ADA requirements, airline service agreements, and airport operational procedures while supporting the high passenger volume and dynamic environment at BNA.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Serves as centralized communications agent involving Airport and tenant operations, public safety, emergency response, and public information; performs directly related work as required.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
The principal function of an employee in this class is to maintain a contact point for airport public safety, emergency response and airport personnel and to receive information and dispatch accordingly; to provide accurate information to appropriate administration, operations, law enforcement, and emergency response personnel; and to provide information and assistance to the public. The work is performed under the supervision and direction of the Airport Operations Superintendent or an assigned supervisor. Considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative. The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of the public, airport and airline personnel, public safety personnel, mutual aid departments (fire and law enforcement), vendors, contractors, and others. This position requires applicants to complete a written test / skills assessment. Test results will be sent out by the Department of Human Resources after the test results have been analyzed and compiled. Bidders who receive a passing score on the test will be hired in seniority order according to the collective bargaining agreement. External candidates who receive a passing score on the test will be hired in lottery/random order.

 Control a centralized communications center which includes monitoring and operating multiple computer systems for emergency and non-emergency situations involving Airport Police, other Law Enforcement Agencies, Airport Operations, Building Maintenance, and Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF). Computer systems include two-way radio and voice communication consoles, fire alarm, runway surface sensor system, and CCTV system;
