JOB DESCRIPTION
 <ul>
<li>Mechanic - Class A, B and C levels. Maintain, inspect, test, diagnose, overhaul, rebuild and repair all vehicle systems, components and accessories to industry work standards. This includes, but is not limited to, the vehicle body, structure, interior panels, trim, seating and glazing; axles, suspension, steering and braking components and systems; driveline or propulsion system components, prime movers and auxiliary drive units; HVAC, lighting and electrical systems; microprocessor controllers, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and multiplex electronic systems; and vehicle energy storage systems and devices.</li>
<li>Bus Mechanic - Class A, B and C levels operate vehicles (CDL License Preferred), including trucks and buses of various sizes and configurations. They also maintain and repair equipment and tools used in the activities mentioned above; drive motor vehicles; keep written and electronic records of work activities; and perform related work.</li>
<li>Some of the physical activities performed by Mechanic - Class A, B and C levels and environmental conditions they experience are: working outdoors in all weather conditions; crawling under and on top of buses; working in confined areas; lifting and carrying heavy parts, tools, and equipment; climbing into and out of buses that are suspended on lifts; reaching into dark spaces and making tactile inspections; making visual inspections of equipment; distinguishing colors; reading gauges and prints; reading, interpreting and applying written or graphic technical repair instructions; responding to sounds from warning bells, horns, and vehicle movement; and wearing required personal protective equipment.</li>
<li>Special Working Conditions: Mechanic - Class A, B and C levels may be required to work various shifts including nights, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.</li>

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The A&amp;P Mechanic has ETOPS duties as defined in the ETOPS Policies and Procedures Manual (EPPM). Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:

<li>Perform routine, non-routine and preventative maintenance in accordance with OAI manuals, manufacturers&rsquo; manuals, FAR&rsquo;s and other established procedures to ensure timely release and continued airworthiness of company aircraft</li>
<li>Mechanics will be required to sign for work accomplished including troubleshooting deferred maintenance items, and ensure proper recording of all maintenance tasks on company documents</li>
<li>Mechanics will perform all tasks assigned by Lead Mechanics, Maintenance Control or higher management</li>
<li>Properly tag all repairable components including reason for removal</li>
<li>When exercising authority under RII provisions, Mechanic will be directly responsible to Director of Quality and Engineering</li>
<li>Attend all training courses as assigned by any supervisor</li>
<li>Comply with all company rules, regulations, and procedures set forth in company manuals and policies developed by supervisor</li>
<li>Keep a constant watch for safety, excessive cost of labor duplication, ensure proper and adequate equipment is used, acceptable parts or components are installed and approved hardware or supplies are used</li>
<li>At stations where a Lead Mechanic is available, coordinate all troubleshooting work requests and part requirements with Lead Mechanic(s), otherwise coordinate with Maintenance Control</li>
<li>Coordinate with Maintenance Control or Lead Mechanics to meet incoming aircraft, review logbook for discrepancies, and plan any corrective action needed</li>
<li>The Mechanic will be responsible for keeping the work area clean (including airport ramps) and may be required to maintain or repair company property from time to time</li>
<li>When onboard company aircraft, Mechanics are representing the Maintenance Department, and thereby dress appropriately and present a professional attitude</li>
<li>Perform duties significant to the Lower Minimums Maintenance Program (LMP) as specified in GMM Chapter 12</li>
<li>Maintain an insurable driving record under Omni insurance driving guidelines</li>
<li>Performs other duties as specified by Director of Maintenance</li></ul> 


QUALIFICATIONS

<li>Must be willing to work 10-12-hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays</li>
<li>Position may involve some travel</li>
