POSITION SUMMARY<div>
Under the management of the Deputy City Planner, plans, directs, manages, and oversees the</div><div>
operations, development, maintenance, and administration of the municipal airport. The Manager</div><div>
ensures safe, efficient, and compliant airport operations in accordance with Federal Aviation</div><div>
Administration (FAA), Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT Aviation), TSA, and all applicable</div><div>

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</div><div>
Operations &amp; Administration</div><div>
Directs daily airport operations, including airfield safety, facilities management, and tenant</div><div>

Ensures compliance with FAA Part 139 (if certificated), TSA regulations, and Airport Minimum</div><div>
Standards.</div><div>
Drafts and disseminates Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMs) per AC 150/5200-28 and FAA Job</div><div>
Order (JO) 7930.2 to meet Federal requirements.</div><div>
Resolves problems and complaints from airport customers and tenants; meets with airport</div><div>
tenants to explain airport policies.</div><div>
Assists the Airport Duty Manager by responding to, coordinating, and resolving airside</div><div>
emergencies such as alerts, severe weather, irregular operation, security breaches, and other</div><div>
events affecting airport operations in accordance with the Airport Emergency Plan and</div><div>
National Incident Management System (NIMS) methodology; and serves as airport field</div><div>
representative until relieved by supervisory authority.</div><div>
Coordinates and monitors daily work on and near contractors and other airfield stakeholders</div><div>
to ensure a safe operating environment; initiates minor corrective actions with the related</div><div>
groups; and makes recommendations for substantive changes.</div><div></div><div><br>
Identifies and anticipates operational and safety concerns through continuous surveillance</div><div>
and radio contact with the control tower; ensures timely reporting of hazards and provides</div><div>

Administers the Ground Support Equipment Registration and Monitoring Program (GSE</div><div>
RAMP), maintains inventory of airline equipment, inspects vehicles, and reports discrepancies</div><div>

Provides training on airfield procedures and regulations; coordinates and performs on-the-job</div><div>
training for new hires; and documents daily performance of the trainee and communicates</div><div>
results to appropriate management.</div><div>
Keeps abreast of all ongoing changes to Federal, State, and Local laws, rules, and regulations</div><div>
