<p>The Center for Career Education (CCE) serves undergraduate students in Columbia College, The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science and the School of General Studies and collaborates with Career Centers in the other schools at Columbia University and its affiliated institutions.</p>

</p><p>The Employer and Alumni Relations (EAR) team within CCE is dedicated to helping 700+ employers recruit undergraduate students and alumni for full and part-time employment and internships. The team also markets the unique talents and skills of Columbia students attracting a wide array of employers, in a diverse range of industries, nationally and internationally to recruit students from the undergraduate schools served by CCE.<br>

The Employer and Alumni Relations team works closely with employers to simplify and maximize their recruitment efforts by:</p>
<ul>
<li>Consulting with organizations to understand their immediate and future hiring needs</li>
<li>Developing targeted recruitment strategies designed to access Columbia talent, including on-campus recruiting; career fairs; a job/internship listing service (LionSHARE powered by Handshake), industry showcases; connecting with student clubs</li>
<li>Providing a variety of effective promotional resources</li>
<li>Build and maintain relationships to stay abreast of industry trend to support student career development</li></ul><br>

<p></p><p>Responsibilities</p>
<p>
Reporting to the Executive Director of Employer and Alumni Relations, the Assistant Director's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Working in a team-based environment to build relationships with employers and alumni interested in engaging in both in-person and virtual career programs and activities managed through CCE. These activities will range from recruiting activities such as career fairs, information sessions, on campus recruiting etc.; and other career development programs designed to help Columbia students acquire new competencies and skills to support their overall career development.</li>
<li>Maintain an Industry Focus for a given industry or areas of career interest to Columbia students. In line with strategic priorities, conduct proactive outreach to employers and alumni encouraging them to develop opportunities for Columbia students. Plan employer visits locally and nationally to present Columbia undergraduate students, deepen industry connections, and highlight Columbia as a recruiting destination.</li>
<li>Report on industry and employer trends; provide information and data on employers to staff at CCE, Columbia students, and other key stakeholders as required. Maintain connections to student advisers at CCE and provide them with updated industry information through in-person and virtual meetings. Manage employer interface with on-campus recruiting where required.</li>
<li>Report on industry trends; provide information and data on employers to staff at CCE, Columbia students, and other key stakeholders as required. Disseminate employer trends and other data broadly through in-person meetings, online and using CCE's Salesforce Client Relationship Management system. Manage employer interface with on-campus recruiting where required.</li>
<li>Manage a cohort of employers who come to campus to recruit Columbia students annually. Manage logistics remotely and via CCE's online recruiting system LionSHARE, act as their first point of contact for recruiting, monitor student engagement and marketing efforts and troubleshoot as required. Work with the Administration &amp; Planning team to implement effective processes to manage employer billing for recruiting and career events.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the EAR Team to manage alumni volunteer programs as required e.g., mentoring, practice interviewing, etc.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Experiential Education Team at CCE to source employers to participate in internship programs, host site visits, and lead exploration-focused workshops and information sessions.</li>
<li>Participate in CCE's student career advising initiatives, including Quick Questions. Develop and deliver innovative programs, media, workshops and other opportunities to help students learn more about given industry focus area.</li>
<li>Work with CCE&rsquo;s Communications &amp; Event Management team to help plan and coordinate employer events such as career fairs and industry showcases, assisting in everything from employer communication, to logistics planning and outreach to students through clubs and organizations. Lead assessment initiatives for designated events.</li>
<li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li>

<p>Minimum Qualifications</p>

<li><p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.</p>
</li>
<li><p>A minimum of 2 years of related experience, such as experience in career services, corporate recruiting, college relations, customer service, operations and/or marketing.</p>

<li>Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.</li>

<p>Excellent relationship management skills required.</p>

<p>The director of advancement is a member of Villanova&rsquo;s senior leadership team and reports to the president. The director is responsible for developing and maintaining active and productive relationships with alumni, parents, grandparents, volunteers, friends and other VPS stakeholders.</p>
<p>
Specific responsibilities include the following.</p>
<p>
Development</p>
<ul>
<li>Plan activities that cultivate relationships with stakeholders and secure gifts to the Annual Fund and other fundraising initiatives determined by the president.</li>
<li>Develop and implement strategies for donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.</li>
<li>Manage a portfolio of active and prospective donors.</li>
<li>Manage an associate director of advancement and a coordinator of alumni and parent relations.</li>
<li>With the director of admissions, co-manage Villanova&rsquo;s coordinator of marketing and communications.</li>
<li>Work with the associate director of advancement and freelance grant-writer to draft proposals to philanthropic foundations and corporations.</li>
<li>Assist in raising funds to enhance the School&rsquo;s endowment.</li>
<li>Create and administer a planned giving program.</li>
<li>Identify, recruit, train and motivate a wide variety of volunteer leaders.</li>
<li>Work with the president and fundraising counsel to plan and launch a campaign to raise $100 million during the next ten years.</li>
<li>Support the Development Committee of the Board of Directors in raising approximately $3 million annually.</li>
</ul>
<p>Board Relations</p>
<ul>
<li>Help train board members and other leading volunteers.</li>
<li>Assist the president in identifying prospective members of the Board of Directors.</li>
<li>Staff the School&rsquo;s master planning committee.</li>
</ul>
<p>Alumni and Parent Relations</p>
<ul>
<li>With the coordinator of alumni and parent relations, support and strengthen the alumni and parent associations.</li>
<li>Help plan alumni and parent events.</li>
<li>Work with Campus Ministry to engage students in writing thank you notes to donors.</li>
<li>Invite alumni and parents to speak with students about their career paths and serve as mentors.</li>
</ul>
<p>Marketing and Communications</p>
<ul>
<li>Work with the president, director of admissions, and coordinator of marketing and communications to advance Villanova&rsquo;s mission and vision to alumni, parents and members of the greater community.</li>
<li>With the coordinator of marketing and communications, prepare a variety of online and print publications, including event invitations, e-newsletters, and an annual report and magazine.</li>
</ul>
<p>Advancement Office Infrastructure</p>
<ul>
<li>With the Advancement staff, create systems to support fundraising initiatives and operations.</li>
<li>Supervise gift processing and record-keeping using Raiser&rsquo;s Edge.</li>
<li>Coordinate research activities to include identifying top prospects.</li>
</ul>
<p>Preferred Qualifications</p>
<ul>
<li>Five to ten years of experience, including proven, measurable success in achieving fundraising goals. A bachelor&rsquo;s degree is required; a master&rsquo;s degree is preferred.</li>
<li>Deep knowledge of donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and securing major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Experience with grant-writing.</li>
<li>Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and networking skills to engage donors, board members, alumni, parents and stakeholders.</li>
<li>Experience in supervising, mentoring, and motivating staff.</li>
<li>Experience with Raiser&rsquo;s Edge donor management software, as well as Google.docs and digital tools such as Trellis auction software and Almabase fundraising software.</li>
<li>Exceptional organizational and writing skills.</li>
<li>Experience working with graphic designers.</li>
<li>Knowledge of the Catholic faith and commitment to Church teaching.</li>
</ul>
<p>Compensation Package:<br>
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000. The starting salary is based on, but not limited to, factors that include type and years of experience, education level, and expertise. Lead the Dedman Law Marketing and Communications team implementing a cutting-edge marketing and communications strategy campaign to highlight the strengths of Dedman Law. Manage and enhance the school's brand image and messaging across various channels, including the law school&rsquo;s website, email communications, and social media for faculty, staff, centers, clinics, etc. Work with the Dean and staff to implement a communications plan for key external audiences. Collaborate with faculty, media outlets, and stakeholders to enhance the law school's visibility. This role will be responsible for leading and actively producing high-impact storytelling that elevates the law school&rsquo;s national visibility, strengthens faculty thought leadership, supports enrollment and alumni engagement, and reinforces Dedman Law&rsquo;s distinct brand narrative. Develop and execute a law school-wide editorial content calendar aligned to institutional priorities. A minimum of seven years of experience is preferred in marketing and communications, professional writing, editorial, and/or content strategy experience. Experience in higher education, legal education, or mission-driven institutions preferred.</p><p>
Experience with CRM systems and data management is required, Blackbaud or Salesforce CRM is highly preferred. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, desired.</p><p>
Must have strong executive management skills to manage the Marketing and Strategic Communications Office at Dedman Law.</p><p>
Must have exceptional writing, editing, interviewing, and story-mining skills. Experience developing content for magazines or institutional publications is preferred.</p><p>
