As a Principal Analog &amp; CAD Engineer in the Quantum 1st Party Hardware System-on-a-Chip team, you will play a critical leadership role in advancing the development of Microsoft&rsquo;s quantum ASIC Foundry Interface and CAD Tool/Flow setup. Your responsibilities will include interfacing and establishing relationships with internal/external foundries, and creation of library Process-Development-Kits &amp; CAD Flows for Cryo/Quantum System-on-a-Chip implementation. It also includes Analog Design Responsibilities and Analog Layout path-finding.
Throughout the program lifecycle, you will engage with cross-functional teams&mdash;including architecture, quantum, verification, analog, physical design and vendors &mdash;to ensure that the design meets specifications and is successfully implemented and verified. Quantum Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800.00 - $274,800.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000.00 - $304,200.00 per year.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various electronic components and systems used in our UAS technology. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.Responsibilities: <ul><li>Preparing cables and harnessing for our products.</li><li>Design and develop advanced printed circuit boards (PCBs)</li><li>Perform soldering and electronics card assembly.</li><li>Create and maintain detailed schematic documentation using industry-standard tools.</li><li>Collaborate closely with the hardware engineering team to support full-cycle hardware development.</li><li>Design and integrate cable harnesses tailored to custom PCB configurations.</li><li>Develop embedded systems based on microcontroller architectures</li><li>Install aircraft avionics, power systems, test instrumentation, and other electronic equipment.</li><li>Maintain shop orders and logbooks, detailing the nature of assignments, parts utilized, time expended, and type of work performed.
