 Disassemble, decontaminate and sterilize anesthesia equipment and supplies. Report equipment problems to Chief Anesthesia Technician.

 <li>
 Retrieve and appropriately distributes the equipment necessary to prepare a patient for anesthesia. This includes specialty equipment for invasive lines and monitoring, difficult airway, and pediatric procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Appropriately stocks the carts and surgical suites with the required supplies as outlined on the anesthesia surgical suite stock par list.
 </li>
 <li>
 Operate Blood Cell Saver.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in turning over rooms assuring minimal downtime between cases.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains equipment by preparing, testing, and setting up a variety of anesthetic equipment for surgical use; troubleshooting equipment for problems or repairs; performing preventative maintenance and routine cleaning.
 </li>

 Supports the anesthesia provider by setting up IV's, central venous lines and arterial lines; assembling necessary drugs, syringes, needles; opening prepackaged sterile trays.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with the pre, intra and post-operative placement of invasive monitoring lines, such as arterial, venous, and PA catheters.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assists in the delivery of blood samples to the lab and retrieval of blood products.
 </li>
 <li>
 Does Point of Care (POC) diagnostic laboratory assays/testing procedures, after an initial approved competency has been completed.
 </li>

 Maintains an adequate supply of all stock items in work room and keeps the work room clean and in an orderly condition.
 </li>

 Assists with lines and specialty room set-ups.
 </li>

 Assist with difficult airway management.

In this position, you will be essential to our operations by delivering on-site technical assistance, maintenance, and repairs for our anesthesia machines. This includes cold calling, prospecting, and selling Capital equipment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys sales and service with a passion for medical technology. This role will be covering Louisville, Lexington and surrounding areas in Kentucky. You will be calling upon surgery centers, hospital operating rooms, and physicians&rsquo; offices for surgical operating equipment needs.
Your responsibilities will include addressing annual preventative maintenance and service requests related to a variety of issues to ensure that the anesthesia equipment remains compliant and fully operational. Service calls will include preventative maintenance, repairs, parts replacement, in-service training, troubleshooting in person or over the phone to get the unit back up and running with minimal down time. You will be responsible for ordering parts and keeping trunk stock in order to complete repairs.
In addition, you will be responsible for establishing new relationships with customers, while maintaining the existing book of business. You are expected to grow the company footprint with the various states using strong interpersonal skills, high level customer service, and networking within the territory.
Each sale will require time spent in surgery supervising the use of the equipment and ensuring physician satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Install, maintain, and repair anesthesia machines at customer sites.</li><li>
Conduct preventative maintenance based on manufacturer guidelines.</li><li>
Using tools on a daily basis, utilizing the full spectrum of manual hand and power tools to complete repairs. Responding to multiple service calls per day/week.</li><li>
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.</li><li>
Generate new sales opportunities to grow our presence within the territory</li><li>
Set up meetings and presentations with decision makers at various call points to increase overall sales and service within the territory. Call points include biomeds, surgeons, OR managers, OR directors, supply chain, materials managers.</li><li>
Build and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their equipment needs.</li><li>
Service all anesthesia machines within the territory to ensure they are running up to OEM specifications.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of services performed, including equipment maintenance logs, document and write-up full service reports.</li><li>
Work closely with internal teams to provide feedback on product performance and areas for improvement.</li><li>
Drive to service calls, sales meetings, cold calls.</li><li>
Job requires 60% travel with overnights.</li></ul> 

Requirements 
 
Qualifications<ul><li>
High School Diploma
</li><li>1-3 years of experience required, training will be provided.</li><li>
Comfortable with manual and hand tools.</li><li>
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.</li><li>
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.</li><li>
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.</li><li>
Basic computer skills, familiar with diagnostic and maintenance software.</li><li>
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.</li><li>
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.</li><li>
Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 40 pounds.</li></ul>
