As a Senior Applications Developer, you'll support NFA's applications projects by demonstrating technical leadership in the design of new systems and maintenance of existing systems with a focus on complex financial systems. Specifically, your responsibilities will include:</p><br>
<p></p>
<ul>
<li>Design and maintain applications that process, analyze, and store large volumes of market data, ensuring accuracy and data integrity</li>
<li>Apply a strong understanding of financial market products (examples include futures, options, swaps, clearing, margining, and trade reporting) to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions</li>
<li>Prototyping and implementing designs in keeping with NFA software development lifecycle practices.</li>
<li>Enhance and optimize alerting to improve accuracy and efficiency.</li>
<li>Support ongoing changes and initiatives to ensure applications and surveillance tools evolve with the regulatory landscape.</li>
<li>Contribute to architectural decisions, technical standards, and best practices across the application development lifecycle</li>
<li>Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership and training on complex initiatives and enhancements</li></ul><br>

<li>Extensive experience developing applications in a regulated or data intensive environment with a focus on complex financial systems.</li>
<li>Experience supporting financial, regulatory organizations, exchanges, or financial institutions strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Familiarity with trade surveillance concepts such as spoofing, layering, manipulation preferred.</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.</li>
<li>Experience with Visual Studio, Microsoft Access, Entity Framework, Azure DevOps, XML, API and Azure Cloud Computing experience helpful. Additional technologies used may include Dapper, Blazor, and REACT.</li>
<li>Skilled in SDLC, system testing, production support, and change management.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to work directly with non-technical regulatory stakeholders and translate business needs into technical designs.</li>
</ul>
<p>Salary range: 103,400 to $176,000</p><p>
