Reporting to the Head of the Department - Mathematics, the part-time instructor is ideally an experienced educator with creative and innovative teaching skills who can effectively plan, develop, and deliver course content in UDST&rsquo;s undergraduate Mathematics curriculum. The successful candidate will also be responsible for evaluating student progress, collaborating with faculty teaching teams, and managing resources in the learning environment.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>
A Master's or PhD degree in Mathematics or Statistics or a related applied field</li><li>
At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience in post-secondary, or higher education institutions</li></ul> 
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Post-graduate certificate, diploma, or degree in education teaching methods</li><li>
Strong proficiency in written and spoken English</li><li>
Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (e.g. D2L) and adaptive learning technologies</li></ul> 
Other Required Skills
<ul><li>Commitment to creating and evaluating authentic assessment tools that validly and reliably measure mastery of course learning outcomes while promoting lifelong learning</li><li>
Demonstrate ability to use a variety of educational technology and learning platforms.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable students to be active participants in their education</li><li>
Digital literacy and demonstrated fluency in learning management systems and an ability to model and facilitate the use of current and emerging digital platforms committed to student learning and feedback.</li><li>
Manage the resources of the learning environment and course portfolio documents required for program review and accreditation processes.</li><li>
Effective oral and written communication skills</li><li>
